What's the current tax rate for the rich?  Who signed it?

Obama extended the Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich in a compromise with House Republicans.  That extension is due
to expire soon.  I expect that Obama will correct his mistake.

It's been 3 1/2 years, Obama and the Dems controlled policy for the first 2 years.  They could have raised taxes on the "rich' in 2009, and 2010, with no need to compomise.  Each elected Congress isn't bound by the prior Congress.  If that were true, what is the point of elections?  Obama and the Dems didn't and still haven't passed a budget, he resigned the Patriot Act, he added $5 Trillion in new debt.

These were Obama's responses to the "Bush Meltdown".  That is the record Obama is running from.  That is why the national debate is about the phoney "war on women" and now gay marriage.

In remarks before signing the bill, Obama called it "a substantial victory for middle-class families across the country." He added: "They're the ones hardest hit by the recession we've endured. They're the ones who need relief right now."

Obama described the bill as "a package of tax relief that will protect the middle class, that will grow our economy and will create jobs for the American people."

...

At the signing ceremony, Obama said passage of the law was propelled "by the fact that tax rates for every American were poised to automatically increase on January 1st." If that had happened, "the average middle-class family would have had to pay an extra $3,000 in taxes next year," he said. "That wouldn't have just been a blow to them; it would have been a blow to our economy, just as we're climbing out of a devastating recession."

Obama declared: "I refused to let that happen. And because we acted, it's not going to. In fact, not only will middle-class Americans avoid a tax increase, but tens of millions of Americans will start the new year off right by opening their first paycheck to see that it's actually larger than the one they get right now."

He said he would not have signed the bill if it did not include "other extensions of relief that were also set to expire." Among other provisions, he cited the extensions of unemployment benefits and tuition tax credits, as well as new tax incentives for businesses.

These were Obama's responses to the "Bush Meltdown".  That is the record Obama is running from.  That is why the national debate is about the phoney "war on women" and now gay marriage.

~Obama has overhauled the food safety system
~Advanced women's rights in the work place
~Ended Don't Ask, Don't Tell (DADT) in our military
~Stopped defending DOMA in court.
~Passed the Hate Crimes bill.
~Appointed two pro-choice women to the Supreme Court.
~Expanded access to medical care and provided subsidies for people who can't afford it.
~Expanded the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
~Fixed the preexisting conditions travesty [and rescissions] in health insurance.
~Invested in clean energy.
~Overhauled the credit card industry, making it much more consumer-friendly.
~While Dodd-Frank bill was weak in many respects, it was still an extremely worthwhile start at re-regulating
the financial sector.
~He created The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
~He's done a lot for veterans
~He got help for people whose health was injured during the clean-up after the 9/11 attacks.

None of these things were priorities for Republicans. They actively opposed, directly or indirectly through
obstruction, every single item on this list. In fact, they succeeded in killing a Cap & Trade bill in the Senate
after it had passed through the House.

And in his spare time, Obama has:
~ Killed Osama Bin Laden
~Eliminated several other Al-Qaeda leaders
~Ended the War in Iraq
~Begun the drawdown of forces from Afghanistan
~Passed Obama Care
~Saved one million  US Auto workers jobs...

Cicero being (I assume) a man sees no GOP war on women... But women in this country recognize the threat
from the GOP.
Cicero's "national debate on gay marriage" isn't Obama's doing.  Obama hasn't passed any gay marriage laws
or even proposed them.  It's the Republican Marriage Police who are forcing the issue into the public with their
War against Human Rights.

So these are all the reasons Investors prefer Obama? > >

Investors must like the uncertainty of having no federal budget for 4 years.

Thank you Cic... I forgot one of Obama's failures is not closing Gitmo.

Investors can look at a struggling President Obama, and then look to the preceding Republican Bush
administration.  Today they see the same scenario that caused the Bush Economic Meltdown in the
Republican congress.
Today's Republican Congress has only one answer for all issues... CUT TAXES.  Part of the problem
that got us into this mess.  It's not that these investors love Obama... they just fear what the economy
would look like if another Republican was in the White House.

...No - CUT SPENDING, LESS REGULATONS are other answers.  But the totalitarian left NEEDS to regulate peoples lives and spend our earnings.

Obama didn't add $5 trillion to the debt by not taxing enough, that was a spending problem.
