Police have charged a Princetown boy with raping a 16-year-old girl while they were at an underage drinking party in April. Austin D. Kownack, 16, was arraigned on a charge of fi rst-degree rape in Rotterdam Town Court on Monday following his arrest. He was sent to the Schenectady County Jail and is scheduled to reappear in Princetown Town Court on Wednesday. Investigators said Kownack was at an underage drinking party in Princetown on April 9. A subsequent investigation by the district attorney’s special victims unit and state police developed information that Kownack engaged in sexual intercourse with a female without her consent during the party, investigators said. Kownack was among a group of people at the party previously cited by state police. He was initially charged with making a false statement regarding how the youths obtained the alcohol. An investigation into the party started when Rotterdam Emergency Medical Service personnel were called to a residence in Princetown for an intoxicated female. She was later taken to Ellis Hospital, treated and released. Following an investigation by police, three people were charged, including 17-year-old Anthony A. Manning of Rotterdam. He faces one count each of sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child. Also, Gina A. Skinner, 44, of Princetown, was charged with three counts of unlawfully dealing with a child by giving alcohol to a person under age 21 and one count of unlawfully dealing with a child, both misdemeanors....................................>>>>......................>>>>.......................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01001&AppName=1
