He doesn't foot the bill. He is a poser. But smart enough to be here blogging while getting paid by taxpayers.

He may want to
certain if he is accusing people of shaping bids for specific vendors.

And if this is true.......who would it actually shock?? I mean really!!!

We know JP Napoleon has retired already. Now he will make sure to finish the job he started on the Rotterdam Taxpayers.

It's funny how JP, his buddy DM and Metrograft have totally escaped blame from the DEM fiscal scandal. But don't fret. Wait to you hear who McCarthy picked as the new City Engineer. He can't stop stepping deeper in it. Have Denise Brucker go door to door looking for uninsured pit bulls- lol. All dog lover should pack Monday's City Council joke meeting demanding resignations in disgrace.

Your problem is not who I am or when I say it = it's the fact that I call you out on your inaccurate posts and childish behavior.

And, even if they took the take home vehicles away which is the taxpayers' right, you are not talking about saving a lot of money.

Are you serious? The insurance savings alone would be enormous, not to mention the fact that they should only be driven for work related tasks, not to soccer practice, not to the mall, not to Price Chopper.

I don't know if you've bought insurance lately, but the price goes up if you have another driver under the age of 25 even just living in the same house as you, no matter if they're allowed to drive it, or not.
Speaking of liability, if one of the county workers gets drunk, and gets into an accident in their off time, who pays for it?

Considering that most of the aforementioned tasks are within county limits, and not all over the north country, the amount of mileage put on these cars would be more than cut in half.
That's half as many times the tires would have to be replaced, half the number of times the oil would have to be changed, etc, etc. Also, it would limit the amount of snow melting salt the cars are exposed to, and be aged by.

Therefore, the cars would have to be replaced far less often.
We would also be able to cut down the number of vehicles we need, because the vehicles would stay at work, and be available for other workers, and other shifts to use.
We would need less cars. Period.

When they call in sick, do they still deliver the car to the job so that others might be able to use it, rather than having to get another car?

You're delusional.

What would be the dollar amount savings?

Who said they should not be driven fior only work related.  I said - if someone was driving by a location and stopped for a prescription I wouldn't see a major problem with that. But, if the taxpayers decide that so be it.

Amount of snow melting on the car - really?

Do you know how much mileage is put on the take home cars?

It would be a savings, not as much as you think.  But, that's up to the taxpayesr to decide.

I have to agree with Tommy on this issue, the people taking cars home are paid more than enough to afford buying their own cars, insurance and maintenance just like the taxpayers in the real world do.

Why don't they just give them helicopters and limos and double their pay? Also, just bond the money to cover it. It won't matter because you have subverted democracy anyway and have a death grip. None of your bosses will be voted out at the city or county level anyway.

Visitor.  It also takes gasoline to get these cars to their homes.  Stop saying its up to the voters.  Put this perk on the ballot and see how many vote for it.  GPS in all cars.  Taxes must be paid on personal use.  Milage logs must be kept and made public.  The city has been found uninsurable already.  $25000 deductible now=uninsurable. Im sure you have an excuse.

Who is making an excuse?  It's really a moot point, I think the Council will be coming up with fleet reductions within the next week or so.

No cuts are necessary and a $5 MILLION deficit in one year under McCarthy is no biggie? lol. The dereliction of duty is shocking.. The City went to the dogs 37 years ago when the DEM morons took over the City Council. When the all DEM Council approved the budget they cut NOTHING and unbelievably ADDED $50,000 in giveaways to nonprofits. Get a PILOT from Fat Morris at Proctor's, cut every department 15%, layoff non emergency personnel, end the City friends and family phone plan/cell phone plan, abolish the Department of Development. Then go to your working together County DEM buddies sand demand a sales tax increase for the oppressed City property owners.

I don't.  Indicidual has to drive by a CVS on the way home and stops to fill a prescription.  I don't see that as that big of a deal.  But, it's up to the
taxpayers - and soemhting like that sure doesn't qaulify as a "pleasure ride".

at a regular job I can't stay on the clock and get my prescription then return to work
