Former New York State Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno was arraigned today on charges that he
took bribes and kickbacks from an Albany businessman totaling $440,000.
The new two-count indictment — brought after Bruno’s two 2009 honest services fraud convictions
were tossed out by an appeals court — alleges he carried out a scheme to defraud the state of the
right to his honest services. The indictment claims Bruno solicited payments from an Albany
businessman who directed several companies pay him a total of $440,000.

Sad to see that the prosecutors are continuing to harass a fine man like Senator Joe Bruno.   This is a waster of OUR taxpayer money.

well considering all the other useless sh*t I've paid for, at least this one provides me with some cheap entertainment every now and then..........the amount of my taxes that went into the building, paid for a 2 sq. in. patch of grass behind second base.......I can live with that, got a chance to see it watered...........and I'm still not shedding any tears for Joe

THE taxpayers' mone, NOT YOUR money.....people with jobs pay taxes.   You do not have a job thus do NOT pay taxes.   Homeowners pay taxes and you do NOT own a home therefore you do NOT pay taxes!!!!!!!!!!!

You LIE about paying taxes, just like you LIED about where you go to school.

By the way, how's your "renaissance city" doing?????

took bribes and kickbacks

Is that similar to the bribes and kickbacks the city/county/plex leaders are doing?   Bribing businesses to come into the city via exempting them from paying property taxes (putting the homeowners into deep financial debt), and the kickback is heavy funding back to the dems for their campaigns?

How's that "renaissance" city doing????

Some folks are just pitiful pathological liars  (such as MikeChristine) that one can only hope that they get the assistance from a mental health professional that they truly need.

MikeChristine better be careful -- someday he will be sued for slander.  He makes completely unfounded accusations against others and seems to think if he repeats his lies enough time that somebody will actually believe him.  He must be a miserable, pitiful person groping for attention in his dreary, loser life.

Ahhhh.........the slander card...

Those are legal kickbacks, although highly unethical, that all these losers in office have bankrupted our counties and town and whatnot.

Well, it is schenectady, i'm sure we all paid for something to make this easy for Mike to obtain.

DV, tell us how that city of Schenectady, that YOU have claimed many many times, is "in a grand renaissance," how's the city doing?????

How's the TAXABLE tax base in the city thanks to the hundreds of millions in taxpayer handouts to the wealthy and politically connected.

How are the property values in the city thanks to the hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer handouts to the wealthy and politically connected?

How's the financial status of the city thanks to the hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayers handouts to the wealthy and politically connected?

How many people from outside the city are buying houses IN the city thanks to the hundreds of millions of dollars that the homeowners have had to fork over to the wealthy and politically connected downtown.

Can you answer those questions, DV?????     You NEVER answer those questions.   Why not????   You can't handle the truth?   You can't admit you are wrong?

Disregarding the annoying attempts to change the real topic of this thread, I reiterate my confidence that Senator Joe Bruno will be vindicated.
