And remember what DV says using the "hamburg" name, that it is IMPERATIVE that evidence techs be given expensive cars with which to take daily pleasure drives far outside the city..

Didn't Big Mac promise to enforce the residency laws? lol. He's up at 3AM working on this according to the Gazetto.  Meanwhile how much longer can horrible Denise Brucker delay action on cutting the City vehicle fleet? Demand bankruptcy and State takeover from these DEM fiscal incompetents. Camden, NJ North.

Isn't there a law somewhere that protects the residents on how high any government can raise their taxes?

The state has passed legislation that limits the percentage increase in the tax LEVY.   But as I have stated for years, and has been proven with what is going on in the city school district this year, the tax LEVY can even go down but the tax BILLs can go up.

There is NO LIMIT on increase in the tax BILLs.

And the "wonderful Dems" has DV calls them, will keep the LEVY in check by creating FEES which are not limited.

All that matters is that the confused elderly and the parasites continue to be fooled into voting for the corrupt democraps... They could be in debt for 100 million and nothing will change since they have them all held hostage- either via entitlements or emotional trickery.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

They are all DEM fiscal incompetents. They have no plan and recently bonded again for their nit wit Erie Blvd narrowing to choke traffic from GE Main Plant. The City voters kept the record of voting for the worst candidates with the only exception Vince Riggi. Vince will be on the Paul V TV show on TW-4 taking calls from 4-5pm. Plenty will be about the record DEM taxes and idiotic spending which has result in a property resale price implosion in the City. It's the high taxes-stupid.

Oh my gosh, save this post.

Call Al Roney's show today, this should be quite the topic for him since he's from Schenectady.

Is Paul's show done live?   He's having Vince Riggi on today.

SCHENECTADY – Mayor Gary McCarthy said Wednesday the city finished last year with a $5 million deficit – but tried to assuage public concerns by saying the city will plug the hole this year with other revenue and savings.

I will not and cannot pay more taxes    What in the hell do we get for it? Crumbling roads, rampant crime, well you all know how it is.

But give those raises city hall and keep rebuilding an emptying downtown and to hell with the residents.

The article actually tells you how they're going to take care of it.  Seen the large, red section above.  That will be your higher taxes and fees.  Bend over and smile, and make sure to apply plenty of renaissance.

True, they collect sales tax on car front end repairs, tires (and disposal of old) ... maybe you're right

Exactly! It's the Schenectady Syndrome. The idiots love their DEM captures. File bankruptcy and chase the DEM morons out of City Hall.

There is no savings to apply to McCarthy's deficit. Higher taxes should fix everything!

Gov Cuomo's tax cap is a sham, the city needs to slash spending, lower the tax rate not just lower the value then turn around and raise the rate so residents end up paying more. Maybe it's time for a Schenectady Tea Party where the residents throw the politicians into the river.
