The term "Ground Troops", applies to regular (Conventional) forces from infantry or armor groups...
Special forces, or special operations forces are terms used to describe highy-trained military units trained to perform unconventional, often high-risk missions.
Special forces are still part of the US military be it Marines or Navy, if they're active duty they're ground troops. I like the way you tried to act as if they don't count, truth is though those soldiers represent us like it or not.

Kony and his LRA fighters are no joke and I don't believe the reports that his forces are ' on the verge of defeat'. When you have 100+ SF and all the toys that go with them and this dude is still around, he's not weak.
This is all being done on the 'hush hush'...So wiping out a few village with a strike or two with drones or 'daisy cutter' bombs in the middle of Central Africa doesn't grab the media.
