This past week a body was found in the Mohawk River and later idenified as Anthony Krisanda 30 years old from Sch'dy.
The Gazette in yesterdays paper had an article titled "Man found in Mohawk had incidents with law"
As this was said to be an accidental drowning, it makes no sense for the gazette to have such an article, and imagine how his friends and family must feel reading that as they haven't even buried him yet.
Just when you thought it wasn't possible for them to sink lower, leave it to the maxon road gestapo to bash a man who's died. The hell with the real news, let's dig dirt on a resident and family.
We used to be friends when we were younger back in middle school, haven't seen him in about 5 years though. Even though he did have some problems in the past who the hell are they to mock him when it has nothing to do with his death.

Funny, but I thought the exact same thing when I read it. It was almost like the gazetto was implying that the guy deserved to die.....or at least there was a good reason why he did! And with no respect for the family left behind!!
The gazetto must have forgotten that this 30 year old has a mother father brother sister aunt uncle cousins....SOMETHING CALLED FAMILY!!!

I was thinking the same thing, that this reporter Bethany Bump must think that because of his "incidents" with the law it dosen't matter that he died.
In the last sentence in this so called "article" it states "The resolutions of the legal charges were not accessible Saturday"
Why in the hell is she worried about the resolution of the charges, a man is DEAD and a family grieves.
I will NEVER buy the Gazette again.
Came back to add I just called the Gazette and talked to who I believe was an editor and voiced my opinion at the story, I said just think if that was your son who is not even buried yet and you read something like this in the paper. He said he will bring it up for discussion, yup.
Let the Gazette continue being the cheerleader of downtown/metroplex/city hall..........
For they don't do justice on the real issues facing the citizens of the city.

Anthony was born in Niskayuna, the son of Mark T. and Bonnie Krisanda Sr. Tony attended Schenectady schools. He loved landscaping and had worked in the area as a landscaper, including at Sportime in Rotterdam. He was predeceased by his father Mark T. Krisanda Sr. Anthony is survived by his mother Bonnie, brother Mark (Angela) Krisanda Jr., and sisters, Carrie and Tracey and several relatives. A calling hour will be held Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, followed by committal prayers at Vale Cemetery, Schenectady.

Just try to imagine the shock and grief his family and friends must be going through. Then to see a story in the April 22 paper with the headline, “Man found in Mohawk had incidents with law.” I find this to be in very poor taste and fail to see the reason the reporter felt this was newsworthy.
Wonder how it would of gone over if any dirt was dished on any of the 9/11 fatalities. Just imagine if any dirt such as convicted: child molester,domestic abuser,murderer,tax evader etc. (if applied to any) were listed in the various obituaries. All were undoubtedly elimnated from the obits. due to their unfortunate demise. Guess some deaths are treated with more nobility than others. That's the thing about the power that the media has. It can paint a rosey picture or one filled with thorns.
Hubby just picked me up at my daughters and he wanted to stop at Stewarts and have me go in and get coffee. We were right in front of Stewarts and he said grab a Gazette too. I told him again, as I told him the other day that I will never buy the gazette again. He got upset grabbed the money out of my hand and headed home.
He dosen't understand that sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in no matter how small or insignificant it might seem to others.
Many years ago I would sometimes grab an Enquirer or similiar paper in the market, a headline would catch my eye. One day Micheal Landon was on a talk show I think Johnny Carson and he was telling the audience (this while he was in the final stages of cancer) how the tabloids were writing untrue and awful things about him and how it hurt his family. He asked listeners not to buy that garbage. I never bought one again.
Like I said maybe a small thing but when I saw the pain inflicted on him and his family I'm sure many took his advice.

At any respectable newspaper that headline writer would be out on the street. Too many inaccuracies to list. No one under 70 reads it anymore.
