Folks who WANT to buy a home, USUALLY go to a realestate agent and then off to the bank or visa versa. They are then walked thru the home buying process with options and offers for special financing. Unless the local government is trying to entice the 'uneducated' or 'financially risky' customers or just giving Key Bank ALL of the 'risky business'.....I don't see the sense in this move. It is up to the private businesses such as banks and companies to grow their business responsibly.

Is Key Bank the only bank in town that will offer these risky loans where folks need to be 'educated'?

Poor results on tests
Half don't graduate
Lack of discipline in the schools
Etc?

Let's see if the big cheerleader for government education is present talkng about how he LIED about where he went to school.

Perhaps I need to replace some of the people in the picture and put some students in there.

Is this why the district has refused to divulge what the propsed tax increase is that will be presented to the voters next month?

Gee, the monthly GCAR figures may be available by the time of this coming open house.

Wonder if the school district will be part of an open house during May!   If so, I hope the financially struggling homeowners follow them tourists around and carry signs referencing the excessive spending of the district

I like the idea.  Maybe we can heckle them into being more fiscally responsible?

LOL, good idea.   Yeah, like the existence of a farmer's market in downtown is going to be the key to getting people from outside the area to come and buy a house in one of the highest taxes cities in the whole country.

Wait, why would this thing be downtown?   Isn't this supposed to be an open house tour?   Maybe the tour thils Sunday will be of houses in the Hill and Vale?

But those of us who know the real facts could go down there and try to lead people out to State St and say to them "look at this!  Look over there across the street, the gin mill, if you buy a house, YOU will be paying not only your own property & school taxes, but you will also pay the prop and school taxes for the gin mill too.   Hey, look at the Paul Mitchell school, Paul Mitchell is a Forbes billioniare but he doesn't pay taxes to the city, YOU will cover his tax burden, etc etc"

Hey anyone want to bring a set of POM POMS and give them to DV.   If he's going to be cheerleading when the school is involved, the least he could do is have the proper colors of SHS, yes?

So funny, DV isn't saying much these days, since he cannot provide any EVIDENCE whatsoever to support his comments, he's too much of a chicken, he doesn't like to be challenged.

It's the record DEM taxes stupid! Maybe if the pathetic working together "team" paid their City school taxes due the confiscatory school levy could go down. Naah, they rather pay their County buddies for the $80 million County nursing home. Each new home buyer at the Green Market should get an organic lemon.

"RAH!  RAH!   RAH!   The renaissance is here!"

"CHEER!   CHEER!    The dems 'r all here!"

Above quoted recently by the resident board cheerleader (for downtown, for the dems, for tax exemptions on most of downtown, for favors for the politically connected and for higher taxes on the homeowners).   And with all this great news DV is GREEN with envy that he's not partaking in this taxpayer handout home buying program
