Ironically, even Mr. Sheen doesn't know who he is,(not even named Martin Sheen, but Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estévez) and doesn't stand for the same things that his family fought for, like the freedom from overbearing governments in both Ireland and Spain (as documented in the episode of "Who Do You Think You Are" as aired on NBC.
After the first commercial, he finds out about his uncle being "at the epicenter of the resistance against the regime," fighting for Irish independence from England. After the second, he finds out about another uncle heading the fight against another regime, this time in Spain. Now, he, (Martin Sheen, A.K.A. Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estévez) is standing with the overbearing government here in the United States, and he thinks he's fighting, just like his ancestors.
