SCOTIA -- Thirty Airmen assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing flew from Stratton Air National Guard Base on Friday morning for a 60-day deployment to Afghanistan, the National Guard announced.
The Airmen and a C-130 Hercules aircraft assigned to the wing will fly missions in support of Operating Enduring Freedom, according to a press release.
