philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

The War on Women Backfires

Republicans thought they could get away with endless attacks on the fairer sex.
They couldn't have been more wrong.

If the GOP doesn't learn it's lesson... history will continue to repeat itself.

well, that should be good news for you, right?
Anyway, in another thread you state the GOP is changing it's opinion re: immigration.
So, it still comes down to spiking the ball.

The GOP did get the message about alienating Hispanics.  They still don't like them, but apparently they
will at least pretend to address their issues.

I have yet to hear any such news about ending the GOP war on women.
Hopefully those Republicans who are in office and want to be reelected will 'get it'.

There is clearly no war on women or any other 'created segregated group'.

It was all about entitlements and what the majority of the electorate is expecting government to do for them....and clearly the majority wants the government more involved in their lives and future security.

There is no 'boogy man party', except for the ones that the lame stream media...both left and right....portray.

They are just two different platforms.............and the majority chose one....it was as simple as that!

Now that the GOP war on women cost the Republicans the election...

they finally get it!

Quoted Text
Stinging from double-digit election losses among female voters, House Republicans elected
a woman to their top leadership team Wednesday in a tense test of gender politics and the clout
of the GOP’s power brokers.

The election of Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington state to the No. 4 leadership position
among House Republicans dispatches conservative favorite Tom Price of Georgia, who had been
endorsed by Mitt Romney’s running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. House Speaker John
Boehner didn’t take sides, but McMorris Rodgers was considered the leadership favorite.

Newly elected Rep. Susan Brooks of Indiana said it was important to have a woman in a top role.

they dont get sh*t....there is still no equalizing....they can be cheerleaders all they testicularly want...as long as they know
that by being one gives them access.....but NO RESPONSIBILITY....both parties are still the same, even with the women,
the women feel 'specially elevated' and the men feel 'safe'......

show me the $$ trail....the research etc.

Texas Will End Funding For Planned Parenthood Clinics Tomorrow

The GOP War On Women Continues:

Quoted Text
Before Texas Republicans began their crusade against Planned Parenthood, the organization
provided preventative cancer screenings, contraceptive services, and family planning assistance to
nearly half of the state’s 130,000 low-income women in the Medicaid program.
Texas’ insistence on defunding Planned Parenthood has already had far-reaching consequences.
Some health clinics in the state have been forced to close — including at least 50 that weren’t
even affiliated with Planned Parenthood’s national organization — leading thousands of low-income
women to forgo the preventative care they need. Monday’s decision will almost certainly cause
additional health clinics to close their doors in January, the lawyer representing Planned Parenthood
pointed out.
Since the Hyde Amendment already prevents Medicaid programs from covering abortion services,
the Planned Parenthood affiliates in Texas don’t actually perform abortions for any of their
patients in the Women’s Health Program.

Boohoo go cut a check or donate your time if this place is so important to you, this is not the governments job to fund places like this.

I disagree.  I think it IS the govt's job to help the poor, especially the working poor.  PP provided
provided preventative cancer screenings, contraceptive services, and family planning assistance
to nearly half of the state’s 130,000 low-income women in the Medicaid program.

The Govt doesn't have to provide AIDS screening for the poor... When they don't it isn't just the
poor who pay the price.  AIDS will spread and impact Americans across the financial spectrum.
Teenagers with STD's... will now spread these diseases even further when their only STD
free health care is closed.
The CDC spends billions to prevent the spread of disease, and the US funds clinics like PP to
help prevent disease in the community.  Texans will pay the price for years to come.  Increased
teen pregnancy, increased number of women dying from preventable cancer.
I'm sure the Texas GOP is very proud of themselves... as they watch their children die needlessly.
