Opening statement from Georgetown Law Center student Sandra Fluke
before the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committe on women's health and contraception.
She was blocked from testifying at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee the previous
week on the 2010 health care law regulation requiring employers and insurers provide contraception
coverage to their employees.
The first panel of that hearing only had men as witnesses.
I wonder why they only had Men testifying on an issue that concerns primarily Women?  And I wonder if
Druggy Rush became so insulting because an woman actually got to testify on the issue?

My God dude you are such a partisan drone!

It was a MOCK hearing....It wasn't official....Even CBS says it was a mock hearing.

Whoever uploaded that Youtube omited the first 15 seconds where Pelosi said that they werent allowed to use the Congressional recording studio.

Gloria Allred seeks Rush Limbaugh prosecution
By MJ LEE | 3/9/12 6:30 PM EST

Rush Limbaugh has drawn the ire of celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who sent a letter to the Palm Beach County state attorney requesting an investigation into whether the popular radio host should be prosecuted for calling a law student a “slut” and “prostitute” last week.

“Mr. Limbaugh targeted his attack on a young law student who was simply exercised her free speech and her right to testify before congress on a very important issue to millions of American women and he vilified her. He defamed her and engaged in unwarranted, tasteless and exceptionally damaging attacks on her,” Allred told POLITICO Friday afternoon. “He needs to face the consequences of his conduct in every way that is meaningful.”

In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach..................>>>>................>>>>..................Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0312/73829.html#ixzz1oieJuEZk

It's too bad she never testified before Congress

Not true Buck.
She was blocked from testifying at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee...
but
She DID TESTIFY at the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committe on women's health and contraception.

(See reply #88 of this thread for the video of her testimony on CSPAN)

The Anti-Druggy Rush wave sweeps over all  Right Wing Talk Radio!

Rush Limbaugh scandal proves contagious for Talk-Radio advertisers...
Due to the offensive (especially offensive to women) Right Wing Talk Radio language, Ninety-eight major
advertisers—including Ford and Geico—will no longer air spots on Premiere Networks offensive’ programs.

Premiere Networks, which distributes Limbaugh as well as a host of other right-wing talkers, sent an email
out to its affiliates early Friday listing 98 large corporations that have requested their ads appear only on
“programs free of content that you know are deemed to be offensive or controversial (for example,
Mark Levin, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Leykis, Michael Savage, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity
).”

Women ages 24–55 are the prize advertising demographic, and you have a perfect storm emerging after
Limbaugh’s Sandra Fluke comments.

This is big. According to the radio-industry website Radio-Info.com, which first posted excerpts
of the Premiere memo, among the 98 companies that have decided to no longer sponsor these programs
are “carmakers (Ford, GM, Toyota), insurance companies (Allstate, Geico, Prudential, State Farm), and
restaurants (McDonald’s, Subway).” Together, these talk-radio advertising staples represent millions of
dollars in revenue.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

And I already showed you that it is a MOCK comittee...I also showed where your Youtube vid omitted the first 15 seconds where Pelosi said that Congressional recording wouldn't be used (meaning that it wasn't an offical Congressional public hearing and wouldn't be part of Congressional records) and that they "were lucky to even get a room."

It's all bullsh*t Boxy...You know it, I know it, and everyone here knows it.

You wanna beat down on Rush?...I have ZERO problems with that because he WAS a moron for even going there and deserves what he gets. If that means that his show gets dropped, then so be it. I won't loose any sleep over it.

But the more you progressive retards keep pushing this, the more the 'double standard' is being exposed and now the public is really starting to look at this and the more it's starting to blow up in your faces.

Prediction: Should this keep going on, within 1 or 2 weeks Obama is going to make his super-pac gives back that $1M to Maher

Had Ms Fluke been allowed to testify with the All Male panel for the committee, no one would have noticed... No
controversy, no Rush Loudmouth insults... and the Republican party would still be even with Democrats in
Congressional polls of women voters.

Thank you committee for refusing to allow Ms Fluke to testify... The Congressional Democrats are now ahead by
15% with women voters.

And that is the whole intent of this contrived controversy.  To bring women voters back to Obama.

Women that I have talked to realize they are being played as political pawns by staging this controversy.  Politicizing the girl private for votes is going to backfire.

You're Right Cicero... It did backfire on the Republicans...Hence the 15% lead for Congressional Democrats
in the polls.

The conspiracy??? Is that the Obama Conspiracy that had Ms Fluke banned from the hearings???
Obama did that?
The Conspiracy that FORCED Rush Loudmouth to insult Ms Fluke???
Obama did that?

Typical Conservative Hysteria... If anything goes wrong, there has to be a good Conspiracy theory in there
some where.  It's not our fault that Druggy Rush touched off a firestorm that may cost him his job...
It's Obama's fault!!!
