hey Rotterdam, I couldn't find any info on NW..................checked the town website and the RPD website.........nada................there were a couple of gazette articles from the mid '80's that referenced the RPD as the go to organization for NW, but other than that wasn't able to find any other info............maybe a call to town hall or the RPD will send you in the right direction................hth

Hey Ham.....   YOUR words are to never compromise when it comes to public safety.    You even REFUSE to answer the question whether homeonwers should lose their homes in order to pay cops the lavish salaries.

So, tell us Ham, tell us ham, in return for lavish pay and OT, tell us how they provided safety to the pubic in the neighborhoods where this occurred.    Well????    How good was the public safety.    Oh, I guess now the taxes need to be raised some more, now more homeonwers will have their taxes seized for being unable to pay their taxes, because in your mind we have to pay them even more in order to protect the public, huh?

Funny thing is...if you ripped up the police contract and didn't have to have such a top-heavy department...let's say you canned two sgt's and an lt...you'd have enough cash to hire at least seven rank-and-file officers out of the academy...who would then patrol the streets and maybe stop some of this crime.

But the other side of me says Rotterdam(and Coldbrook) sits one valley away from Mont Pleasant. And let's face it...there are some neighborhoods in Rotterdam...like the area along Broadway next to Bellevue...that aren't so nice either. It's a sign of the times. I wish I could say it's different or worse than five years ago, but I can't. Same story, different day. If you live in densely urban areas, crime is a way of life. More people equals more criminals. Of course, it's always easy to say it's getting worse, since yesterday always seems a little better than today. Apply that theory to years and you'll get my point.

two years ago my car got broken into a few times, and i caught those screwballs trying to break in to my neighbors car as i was getting ready to leave to go sun up golfing at 5:30am.  LOL the swat force was out in full effect, maybe 5 cops searching my street in 15 minutes, was shocked.

I don't spell check!  Sorry...

99% if not 100% of these break-ins are ALL drug related!! Looks like drug trafficking is alive and well and a very lucrative business in schenectady county!!

Heard the city scum are going to rotterdam cause they can get more money for their 'products'!!! Sad but very true!!
