Jumping Jacks Drive-In vandalized Posted: Mar 02, 2012 5:41 PM EST
SCOTIA, NY - Jumping Jacks Drive-In in Scotia was vandalized with paintballs stains.
The local landmark has been trying to get back on it's feet after Tropical Storm Irene. Owner of Jumping Jacks Drive-In Mark Lansing has been repairing the building for months. The vandalism undoes some of the repairs they've done to the damaged business.
However Lansing says he won't let it delay the opening on March 29.
That happens all the tme in the city. I wouldn't advertise it if I were them. That only encourages it more.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
For the record - Jumpin Jack's is NOT in the city -- it is in the Village of Scotia and Town of Glenville.
Apparently, crime and vandalism can happen in a town run by Republicans just as easily as it can happen anywhere else. But the nayboobs would rather lie and deceive in an attempt try to claim the incident occurred in the city -- all because they are hell-bent on carrying on partisan guerrilla warfare. Maybe someday - the nayboobs will actually try to be part of the solution than insisting on being the cause of so many problems in our community.

No, you idiot, again you don't get it. This is yet another sign of how the blight and issues of the city are creeping into the towns / villages that surround it, The city can no longer contain it's problems, and it's now spreading, "but hey, it's not in the city," the freaking cheerleader says. Yeah, because the city didn't take care of it's issues, so now it's everybody's issue. Crime is like mold. If you don't treat it and get rid of it, it spreads, You're just a Yayboob. Or maybe just a boob.

It's too bad that this had to happen....but it did. And the fact of the matter is.......YES....it did happen in scotia and not the city. However, this is again proof of how the city scum is crossing boarders to the rest of the county.
For years, folks who live in scotia/glenville, believed that the city scum wouldn't cross the bridge........but as soon as walmart opened....they found out differently. Collins park ain't what it use to be either.
So yes........it is indeed the city liberals that have created a dumbed down, entitlement society that is spreading and overflowing into all of the surrounding towns.
Scotia, Rotterdam and Nisky are now experiencing the renaissance!

Hey, how about we DO volunteer work for many organizations. How about we have jobs, spouses, and children that we are involved with.
How about many in the city are working two jobs in order to pay the taxes of the milllionaires and politically connected downtown, and so have no time.
Since you don't have a job, you don't have have a spouse and children to be involved in activities with, since you don't have a home or apartment to take care of, and since you are not a taxpyaer (except a few pennies perhaps in sales tax), how about YOU get off your duff and clean the graffiti in the city
.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Do yu people really think that party affiliation has anything to do with crime.....the perp could give a rat's bum about who is in office.
the statements made are ludicrous ....the robber at CVS ....think I'll knock it over because the Dems are in office...
Come on people....crime is crime.....and the perps are not tied to anything but drugs, and the like....
that's their PARTY OF CHOICE.
it's ridiculous how everything pertains to politics.....and the only ones committing the real crimes are the ones in office......
that's my opinion....from someone who thinks like common folk...
Patches, I wasn't saying that it has anything to do with PARTIES, but in a way, yes, it does have to do with politics, because it's those in office that are telling those on the police force what they need to do and what their budgets are to do it. We spend PLENTY of money on a police force, whether you talk about the County Sheriff, the City Police Department, the Rotterdam Police Department. This money was being spent at times with both parties in office. The problem is that they are now doing less with more, and the fact is that the Schenectady Police couldn't take care of the situation (notice, I'm not saying the XYZ party in the city of Schenectady, due to the fact that I think that there were also issues under previous administrations, including Mayor Al Jurczynsi (R-Schenectady)). It's like a rat infestation, you let them go long enough, they expand where they are, next thing you know, you CAN'T control it, no matter how hard you try.
Yeah, I hit the wrong thing and had to let the pooch out before I could fix it.
SUre, there is graffiti outside the city, but no where near what the city dems are allowing in the city. Or maybe outside the city they are spending the taxpayers' money much more wisely, i.e., cleaning up graffiti instead of giving it to the well-heeled and politicaly connected to build or reno buildings and then get 100% tax exemptions. Outside the city and even more outside the county, cleaning up the community takes precedence over tax exemptions for the rich

You folks were quick to suggest or imply that it happened in the city or because of the city -- so that suggests either ignorance or malevolence on the part of you nayboobs (frankly I think it is a huge dose of both).
The fact is that vandalism of this type happens in communities of ALL sizes -- urban, rural, suburban -- you folks make it sound like Schenectady is the only place with a problem --- yet ignore the empty buildings and crime in Saratoga County. Furthermore, you folks NEVER do more than complain and criticize. You do NOT actually do something to improve help improve your community.
So quit your whining -- and get off your backsides and do something positive for a change.

Yep, we work and pay taxes, since you don't have a job and don't pay taxes and don't own a house to maintain, then you get off your backside and clean the graffiti for a change. Still haven't seen you cleaning the marble at city hall. No one even sees you walking around downtown
Siince you are refusing to buy a house in the city or even go into the city to clean up, gee, wonder why
