Remember the Trustco building that the plex aka taxpayers paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to rebuild the interior and clean up the petroleum from the ground? Looks like Galesi and Highbridge are looking at it. We hear that the plex is offering it to ONE OF THEM for ...... ya ready?................ A BUCK!!!!

It would be interesting to find out if any other company besides Galesi and Highbridge were allowed to buy it!!

Believe so. If memory serves me correctly, it was originally intended for the county building. The original building was beautiful. It was the executive offices for trustco. Fireplaces, elevators, mahogany wood......etc.......ripped out! Also believe it was on the 'you paid for it' on channel 6 a while back. The entire 'vacant' building remains 'heated'.

Working together works! The taxpayers paid top dollar for this to sit and rot because of Death Ray's "plans". $1 is the going rate for property Downtown-if you can get it. The Armory can't.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Saw the report originally, just went and watched it again.

Did you hear that Saveage woman!!!!!!!!!!    The NERVE of her to say (this IS VERBATIM), "We don't want to pass a tax burden onto the people in the county."

But that is EXACTLY what they did!!!!!!!!!!    They INDEED passed the burden onto the people in the form of higher taxes buy spending that money, then by causing a loss of a HUGE amouint of reveneue from property and school taxes since it IS tax exempt.

And now the possitiliby that a well-heeled politically connected developer looking at it--I trust you DID also hear the Savage say there will be a "HUGE RETURN" !!!!!!      Since when is buying a building for $2.8 million and selling it for one dollar and then making it tax exempt a "huge RETURN"       The dems don't understand that it is a HUGE LOSS at the expense of the taxpayers.

And for sure, the dems will make it 100% tax exempt.

So, now watch the DV response "the renaissance continues" but he will TOTALLY AVOID answering how burdening the highest taxed people around is good.

Or the town official and alleged Catholic will just respond with the usual "GFY"  comment.

Did you hear

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
