Social Services building is falling down, falling down

[I’m] shocked over [the] condition of the exterior of Schenectady County’s social services building. What’s going on with the facade?
Brief archival research yields no articles addressing the fact that material has fallen off the building’s exterior.
Leaving aside questions about the health and safety of staff and consumers, I’d like to know what the county, state, and federal funding sources are doing to correct the problem.

Well, all those code enforcement workers are out making sure that Mohawk Office and other 'non-dem-non-metroplex' businesses have no weeds in their sidewalks.

Galesi has diplomatic immunity in the City. That building could partially fall down and the County will give him a million dollar grant to repair it. Kinda' like a new Popolizio.....

I love people who don't read:

From Feb 14. 2012:

"But work at the Lamicoid Building hasn’t exactly stopped. Earlier this year, parts of the stucco exterior began to strip away from the building in about a half-dozen spots, leaving the underlying brick exposed.

Buicko said the problem resides in the type of adhesive used to affix the stucco to the building and will be repaired by the spring. He said scaffolding outside of the building was put in place in case any other pieces of stucco fall.

“Structurally the building is great,” he said. “Now it’s just getting the stucco to adhere to it.”

I'm guessing the building owner is going to Metrograft for a facade grant

Did the local building inspector issue him a ticket? THAT is the question to ask. The Gazette will never do that story. Go talk to the next person who gets a ticket for peeling paint and then check to see if they issued any to Galesi!  It will never happen. They have "protection" because what they are doing is for the "greater good."

It is always screw the home owners and let the connected class get a break. The media is complicit.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
