The condom wrappers have a QR code — a type of barcode that when scanned by your smartphone’s camera can do all sorts of things.

In the case of the wheredidyouwearit.com-sponsored condoms, the QR code will be used to broadcast where and when you practiced safe sex.

The website seeks to put condom use out in the open — a goal it definitely accomplishes. After scanning the QR code, your location and a brief description of how you used the contraception will be posted on wheredidyouwearit.com for all to see.

"A 20-something guy and a girl whose relationship is non-existent and have already talked about safe sex and STDs used a condom in the kitchen because no one wants an STD. It was great — can't wait for round 2," a post from the Belltown area read.

Planned Parenthood said the safe sex social networking site is not looking to promote sex, but instead destigmatize condom use.

"Of course, abstinence from sexual activity is the only sure way to prevent both pregnancy and the spread of STDs," the organization said in a statement. "But remember: Sex happens. We're not encouraging you to have sex or not have sex. We're just encouraging people to be safer in their activities."

Another Batch of Birth Control Pills Recalled for Faulty Packaging

MONDAY, Feb. 27 (HealthDay News) -- A second company has issued a voluntary recall of birth control pills because of a packaging error that could lead to incorrect dosing and expose women to unintended pregnancies.

Glenmark Generics Inc. said the seven lots of birth control pill packets, sold as Norgestimate and Ethinyl Estradiol, do not pose any immediate health risks, but that women using these oral contraceptives should immediately switch to another form of birth control. The company added that it has informed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration of the recall.

"The safety of patients who take our medicines is our first priority. The cause was identified and corrected immediately," the company said in a statement. "At this time, there remains sufficient supply of unaffected lots of material in the marketplace to support demand."

Glenmark did not specify how many pills were affected by the recall. The lot numbers on the packets are: 04110101, 04110106, 04110107, 04110114, 04110124, 04110129 and 04110134.

Doctors offered this advice to women who may be affected by the recall.
