PUBLIC COMMENT/PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR
(Those members of the public wishing to address the Town Board will be asked to sign in before the meeting is called to order on the sign-in sheets being provided. Speakers will be called to the podium in the order of their signing in. Persons recognized by the Chair to speak during privilege of the floor shall direct his/her comments to the Town Supervisor as Chair of the meeting. Persons granted the privilege of the floor shall first clearly state his/her name and address for the record.  Person so addressing the Chair through the use of a prepared written statement shall submit a copy of the same to the Town Clerk for the purpose of maintaining clear and accurate official minutes of the Town Board meeting.)

General Rules of Procedure for Public Hearings & Privilege of the Floor:
The purpose of a public hearing and/or privilege of the floor shall be for speakers to express their views, thought and speak freely.  Public hearings and privilege of the floor are not meant to commence a dialogue with Town Board members, as Town Board will not comment. This time is solely for the public to be heard. Each speaker, who wishes to address the Town Board and the public, shall have an equal and reasonable opportunity to be heard by the Town Board and the public. Each speaker will state his/her name and address for the record. Each speaker shall be afforded a maximum of four (4) minutes to address the Town Board and public.

92.12 Assign job responsibilities associated with the position of second deputy town clerk effective February 22, 2012.

93.12 Authorize the approval of a building permit to Daniel Karl to allow for the construction of a sixteen foot by thirty foot (16' x 30') open canopy onto an existing sixteen hundred (1,600) square foot motor vehicle repair facility onto tax map number 20.1 8-2-14 located at 360 Gardinier Street in Rotterdam, New York, 12306.

94.12 Authorize the Supervisor to execute a contract with The Happy Dog Pet Hotel, Mariaville Road, Rotterdam, New York, in connection with the Animal Control Program/Animal Sheltering Service effective immediately.

95.12 Authorize the Supervisor to execute an Intermunicipal Agreement for dispatching fire and emergency medical calls with the Town of Duanesburg for an annual fee of ten thousand 00/100 ($10,000.00) dollars, subject to the approval of the Town Board of Duanesburg.

96.12 Acknowledge the dissolution of the Rotterdam Industria1 Development Agency (RIDA) and accept title to the Curry Road Plaza, ownership of the bank accounts, approve assumption and assignment, direct the RIDA to pay all outstanding monetary obligations prior to the transfer of all bank accounts and accept all outstanding rights and liabilities pursuant to Section 882 of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York by authorizing the Supervisor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate these transactions.

97.12 Re-appoint Timothy Longo of Rotterdam, New York 12306 to the position of Animal Control Officer, with an annual stipend of $7,000.00 effective March 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012.  This stipend covers regular hours worked.

That would be like they have to find some things for the 3rd string quarterback to do when the starting quarterback is getting the salary and in the game, just doesn't want to do anything, and then what are the second string quarterback's duties?  To hand off to the runningback (anybody else that actually works in the office)?

who is the 1st deputy TC and what is their role? Please don't tell me it's DVOR....the callouses on his knees will bust wide open!!!!

Second deputy town clerk????    Out of three people in that office, hopefully one will be transcribing the minutes of TB meetings!

DM either doesn't want to do minutes or can't .....she will get her way...out of her

responsibility and change the course of the TC's clerk's office.....change not for the better...

there goes the neighborhood.....remember what happened at the Center....

I was told that the Deputy Town Clerk, L Flansburg, is DM's niece!   Anybody care to confirm this?

What do you people expect...think back.....all the events....the one that comes to mind

first is the law suit......then the fund raiser for the cook at the Center....not in dire straits...

and now the minutes and the steno....the Dep Clerk will probably be doing them now...

TC only does what she wants to....she is above the law.....and notice she has her cohorts

protecting her....take that away....and what do you have.....someone who isn't qualified

to be in any kind of position that gives control and authority for personal agenda....

The demise of the Town Hall is on its way..

What happened DVOR...You decided to delete the post where said that people questioning the Administration were "terrorizing" them?  And said RG was grandstanding on the Deputy Clerk issue because he was going to run as a Republican?  Here was my response to DVOR's post that he deleted before I could post this.


I love the choice of words "terrorize"...Great!  If you voice your opinions about the blatant nepotism, you are terrorizing the people that actually have the POWER to take and spend our money the way they want.  Amazing!  

Stand up and face the music DVOR, stop using words like "terrorize" to end a discussion you don't want to have.  People are sick and tired of the 'I won the election, so now I can give taxpayer money to all my friends and family' Rotterdam politics.

First she hires a transcriptionist without board approval now is hiring family members.
