High Real Unemployment Data Reflect Poorly On Obama

Posted 02/17/2012 06:42 PM ET

Economy: The media machine that desperately wants Barack Obama re-elected has turned its focus on what it says are good unemployment numbers. The truth, though, is the job climate in America is miserable.

While the media and the administration portray the most recent jobs number — 8.3% unemployment — as good economic news, more sober minds understand what's really going on. The facts show a jobs slump that should not get an incumbent president re-elected.

Box, where's the measurement showing people leaving the workforce?  That was the point of bumble's chart.  When you measure unemployment, and magically start eliminating the number of people in the workforce, you can make unemployment numbers look really good.  Just because people stopped being counted as "in the workforce" doesn't mean they aren’t' unemployed.  But, our lying cheating government chooses to measure it that way, lying to the people, to maintain faith in our economy and keep people from panicking.

Bumblers numbers are the raw numbers... as expected, the Boomers retiring and the Bush Economic
Meltdown combined to show declining numbers.

As the Baby Boomer generation reaches retirement age, USA TODAY reports that the working population fell
to its lowest level last year since women entered the workforce nearly 30 years ago. In 2010, only 45.4%
of Americans had jobs. This rate is down from 49.3% in 2000. Economists blame the poor economy and aging
workforce.
Bumblers graph shows both factors, with no distinction between those out of work and those retired.

If you look at underemployment/ people who stopped looking the numbers rise between the 11-14% range, the left will never bring it up but they won't argue against it either because it is the truth. Those numbers were actually dropping for awhile until last month where they jumped back up again. Some people are saying it is as high as 19% but I expect like the 8.3% those numbers are political spin.

Of course unemployment is in the double digits. Just ask anyone who works in the unemployment offices!!!
The truth of the matter is...........what the actual unemployment # is, including the folks who no longer collect benefits and don't have jobs are in the high teens. Even a college kid can figure that one out!

There are a lot of great arguments on the issue of unemployment.
The actual (same formula used today) unemployment rate was higher under RonnyThe ReyGun.  His numbers
went to 10% in the Reagan recession... but no one from the Right brought up these complaints then...
I wonder why???
Could it be that the Right uses one set of numbers for a Democrat President and a different set of numbers
for a Republican??? NO!  Of course not!

The simple answer is the unemployment numbers didn't stay high for as long as they have with this administration because Ronnie really did create jobs.
