More wasted money.  If anything well just see more stabbings and choking.

Out of topic but has anyone else noticed that the entire area around the SPD , the whole block and the SPD parking lot has no lighting.  Lights are all out.  What's up with that?

OH ya, everyone knows Chicago is doing REAL well with crime control and gang activity lately.

Oh Yea!!!  Chicago!!!  (ROLLS EYES)... We all know (wink wink) about Chicago!

Your district attorney reported:
" Chicago saw homicides due to guns drop by about half and realized about a 30 percent reduction in repeat
gun offenders."
I have no reason to doubt your district attorney's statement.  But then it was reported in the (ROLLS EYES
AGAIN) "lamestream media" so it's probably false.  Right Senders?

We all know (HUGH EYE ROLL) what Chicago is like!

(So funny that Conservatives get it when they roll their eyes and just mention a city like CHICAGO as if
anything from (rolls eyes and winks knowingly)  Chicago, has to be doubted) (SLY SMILE).

Oh wait... where's Senders.  He knows how to handle stories in the MSM.  You roll your eyes and cast doubt on
anything to do with a MSM story.
Call it a 'conspiracy, then post your own opinion as if that somehow had any relevance.

So the DA contributes these statistics to this one program?  There is a direct cause and effect linking the reduction to this  program?  Chicago is a pretty large and complex city, I can't believe that the ONE program had such a HUGE impact.  I wonder if there are surrounding suburbs and cities saw an increase in gun related violence.  How about attempted homicide by gun, is that up?  Maybe during the time these statistics were gathered, the people doing the shooting weren't hitting vital organs.

This is more fun with statistics to justify senseless government spending.  It's a program that makes everybody feel safe and secure, and makes for good PR for the governor.

My guess???
It's probably a huge left wing conspiracy aimed at a Socialist take over of the country!
Sounds pretty dumb when it comes from the left, but even funnier from the Right because they actually
believe it!   >

No conspiracy, statistics are manipulated all the time to fit an agenda.  If you believe all that is needed is a $150,000 gun buy back programs, and gun crimes is going to be cut in half, Ron Paul needs to get elected president to decriminalize whatever you are smoking.

The New York Times helped lead America into war against Iraq by propagandizing the people, pushing the WMD narrative.  War in Iraq meant more papers sold, more money made.  None of the corporate news companies pushed back against the run up to the war.  They knew they could profit greatly selling images of war.  This isn't conspiracy, this is business.

It is good that you don't question the information that the media and government officials present to you.  And if you do question it, the St. Petersburg Times gave you Politifact to validate any information in question.  That way you can go to sleep at night believing you know the WHOLE TRUTH.

no....senders doesn't believe MSM(left right or otherwise), they are there to earn a paycheck...and the moguls rub elbows with whom?.....yeah, Wesley Mouch.....I don't think Atlas Shrugged is
a 'bible' but it offers the more open views of what our world/man is capable of and actually does.....no conspiracy of the organized, just the short sighted.....

Atlas Shrugged?
OMG!

For those who constantly point a shaking finger at Atlas Shrugged while spitting anti Govt hate...
Please, for the sake of your sanity... read the following review on Ayn Rand's N O V E L:

Atlas Shrugged is a novel by Ayn Rand, first published in 1957 in the United States. Rand's fourth
and last novel, it was also her longest, and the one she considered to be her magnum opus in the
realm of fiction writing. Atlas Shrugged includes elements of mystery and science fiction,
and it contains Rand's most extensive statement of Objectivism in any of her works of fiction.

Clarifying points:
Definitions:

~ NOVEL:
*a fictitious prose narrative of considerable length and complexity, portraying characters and usually
presenting a sequential organization of action and scenes.
~ FICTION:
*something feigned, invented, or imagined; a made-up story.
*the class of literature comprising works of imaginative narration.
~SCIENCE FICTION:
*a literary genre that makes imaginative use of scientific knowledge or conjecture

Although some on this board consider Atlas Shrugged as their bible, really folks...
IT's FICTION! NOT REAL! MADE UP!  IMAGINED!

The wording was not correct.....any gun ...is not the term....should be stated as such

right away everyone gets up in "arms" about guns and the law.....yes, maintain to have possession
of your weapon...BUT...this is not meant for you personally and not an infringement on civil

rights.....but it's the murders committed everyday by the WRONG people....e.g., amber alert the

other day.....boyfriend took mother and child, kidnapped them.....they were found....murder

suicide....

That's what we are talking about.....so don't get all a twitter about your gun....they kill

if used improperly for criminal reasons.....

and most of the guns not being used are distinct....we are talking about the REAL

weapons used for crime....hidden away and not documented...like the gun used in

the CVS robbery yesterday for drugs....

Be cool rightful owners for all the right reasons.....

exists, why question laws/rules/regulations, they exist?

what is our existence? I guess it's just pond scum.....

Sorry to hear your life is "pond scum" Senders, but most find life a little more interesting than that.

Deputy accidentally shoots woman in concealed weapons class

A South Carolina sheriff who has called for women to be armed isn’t backing down after one of his
deputies accidentally shot a female student during a concealed handgun class.

At a press conference over the weekend, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright explained that Deputy
Skip Smith should have checked to make sure that Crystal Smith’s .22 caliber pistol was unloaded.

The officer was in the process of showing Smith, who is married to another deputy, how to grip the handgun
when it discharged and a bullet went through her arm and into her side.

“The instructor should have checked the pistol,” Wright admitted. “He didn’t do it. It was just a mistake.”

(At some point, Americans will realize that the weapons we carry for "protection" are killing more people
than the criminals.)
