Tell me...what is a major crime?>??
Shots fired all the time....some reported ...some not...
Violent crime is major crime....and vice versa...
Domestic violence is a major crime, especially when it escalates to murder of children and women....
What is not seen is the big pic of the country.....everything is way over the top and the stats don't prove a thing....
these days any crime is one too many and it's getting worse by the day...

You cannot even comprehend what you quoted - "violenet crime is simply a not a major problem Downtown".
And it isn't.
Unfortunately, the consensus out there is that there is a problem. It is the city leaders job to change that. |

The consensus is wrong - with respect to Downtown. And, what forms the consensus - the people on this board?

What's the definition of downtown? The two or three block area around Proctors or the remaining sh*t-hole? |

If we/this board have that much power than the leaders are even more pathetic than I thought. They have the power to change things and we don't. |

We (the members of this forum) must have some influence, they (the machine) sends their hacks here to see what we're discussing, argue with us, pay their employees to monitor us, and in some cases, change policy or issue press releases via fax to the daily rag, based on the comments on this forum. It really is amazing how much "power" we do have. |

Downtown is a disaster.....cosmetic and phoney....from Nott Terrace to Erie Blvd...
there is no retail....no hustle and bustle.....
so there is opinions on this blog.....and they count....they are honest and truthful (most of the
time).....
Some of us know what we see and how unfortunate it is that Downtown has been turned into
bars and restaurants.....there is more to life than that....ooops....and Proctors....

Some of us can still remember the good old days when downtown was alive with shoppers, had many stores and 3 movie theaters. I always thought that the Plaza was the best theater with the revolving ceiling and statues. |

My memories of a crowded downtown Schdy include the Planters Peanut shop near Proctors. They often had a guy or girl dressed up in the Mr. Peanut Outfit in front of the store. |
