SPD is investigating yet another shooting at Doug's Tailgate Tavern on State Street. A 28 year old was shot and taken to Ellis Hospital. The SPD says that the shooter left by car heading East on State Street. Downtown Schenectady had the first murder in the Capital Region last week. It is getting a reputation for pit bulls, violent crime and exploding gang activity.

Don't worry. City Hall has a new plan to put unmanned cameras outside Doug's Tailgate Tavern. It worked wonders on Smith Street half a block from Proctor's.

I said burglary, car larcenies, and domestic violence are still a significant problem - the domestic vilence being the most difficult problem to address.   Car larcenies are still a problem but they have been decreasing as well.

It appears that it would be in the best interest of the city leaders, to FIRST address the increased crime! They really should forget about focusing on the nonsense 'miracle mile' and start placing 100% of their attention on the gangs, drug dealers, shooters, prostitutes, robbers that plague the city streets. They need to raise the eligibility for welfare recipients for starters. Next, they need to instruct the judges to prosecute to the fullest and to stop pushing the 'plea bargin' button on every case. Then they need to do 'something' to improve the effectiveness of the police force. It is obviously clear that these scum think they can get away with 'anything' they want.
WHY do you suppose that is?

Let's face it....NO ONE in their right mind will move to schenectady 'on purpose'!!! The school sucks. Crime is rampant. The infrastructure is crumbling, 60% are on welfare and the taxes are the highest in the state. And sorry to say...but the METROPLEX/GILLEN/PROCTORS is not going to cut it, as proven!

According to DVOR/Ham it's all Mayor Al's fault that the all DEM City government failed to address crime, gangs and pit bulls this century. They do nothing but ignore every problem. While increasing their pay and raising every tax and fee. For pit bulls call the post office. For street crime install cameras. For gangs no anti-gang initiative and rounding up gang leaders. The welcome mat is out for every criminal to come, partake of welfare benes {where no one is checked or finger printed like in NYC} and most importantly enroll as another working together stooge.

Tell us what has happened to the TAXABLE tax base in the city since the dems have ruled the city.
While houses in Saratoga are selling, tell us WHAT has happened to the ability to sell houses in the city.
While houses OUTSIDE of Schenectady are INCREASING in value, tell us what is happening to the property values in Schenectady under the dems
