(Reuters) - Anti-government extremists opposed to taxes and regulations pose a growing threat to local law enforcement officers in the United States, the FBI warned on Monday.
These extremists, sometimes known as "sovereign citizens," believe they can live outside any type of government authority, FBI agents said at a news conference.
The extremists may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard.
Routine encounters with police can turn violent "at the drop of a hat," said Stuart McArthur, deputy assistant director in the FBI's counterterrorism division.

"At the drop of a hat"? It is the police that turn violent at the drop of a hat...It has been well documented.
Now, if there are "anti government extremist"...Are there "pro government extremist"? I would characterize the pro government extremist as a totalitarian government supporter that continually advocates the taking away of liberty from the "sovereign citizens". I would possibly call Box a Rox a pro government extremist based on his posts.

Anyone who believes in cutting wasteful spending, lower taxes, and keeping their freedoms, sure sounds like an anti government extremist to me. That would cover about half of the citizens in America.

The cops / government see a group wearing camo and chanting would consider that an anti government militia.
