And what do you have against the businessman that s/he shouldn't be able to make that decision on their own?
So what you advocate is that American women are forced to pay a higher health insurance premium that gives less coverage. |

No, I advocate that people pay the premiums that they want for the care that they want. The people and the insurance companies can barter between themselves what will be covered and how much it will cost. That's called the free market. |

-- Contraception is used to treat or prevent many health conditions that affect women, including ovarian cysts, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroid tumors, abnormal bleeding, pain associated with ovulation, and anemia. Denying women these products is like saying an employer opts not to cover arthritis because of HIS religious beliefs. Or that an employer denies his employees coverage for cancer because of HIS religious views. Ridiculous. |

The free market is offering more coverage for less dollars... and it's being blocked because of the religious views of the employer. |

denying women can be equaled by denying viagra......
less pokey poke = less pregnancy |

Yeah, and the same contraception has been proven to also CAUSE health conditions, including strokes, so maybe it's safe, and maybe it's not. I'm not saying it SHOULD be covered, and I'm not saying it SHOULDN'T be covered. I'm saying it's a DECISION, not a MANDATE that is needed. |

Sure... Some religions don't believe in blood transfusions... Why not ban that coverage for a hundred employees, because the boss has this religious view. Again, ridiculous. |

dont work there....move on....it's choice it's choice if you want to smoke it's choice if you want to drink it's choice if you want to make a McDonald's diet etc etc etc...... the system is legislating mandates to remove the 'choice' because the pendulum will come back and insidiously remove those other choices....ie: they will measure your cholesterol and tell you that the lunch you pack for your kid isn't good enough and they will toss it in the garbage and feed you their crap..... there are effects in the other direction |

All these years insurance companies have been around, and the actuaries that are paid to measure insurance risk, and it takes a community organizer that never even ran a hot dog stand to point out they have been losing money by not offering free contraceptive. If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. |

So, if you want specific coverage and your boss decided against it, - start a union to get everything you want,
- talk to your boss about what it would take to get the coverage, or
- go get another friggin job with another company, but make sure you check your damn benefits before you agree to be their employee.

Health insurers were a prime political target of the Obama administration as it sought to rally momentum behind the healthcare law, which aims to extend affordable insurance coverage to millions more Americans.
The law has added oversight of the industry's premium rate increases and forced insurers to pay the lion's share of their premium revenue on medical care rather than administrative costs. It also prohibits insurers from turning away patients with pre-existing conditions.
In the case of the new requirement on free birth control, insurers may still seek less obvious ways to pass it through, either to the same employers or other corporate clients.
Thomas Carroll, an analyst who covers health insurance companies for Stifel Nicolaus, said that, "in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't seem like a material cost to be added to the managed care company or the employer."
"Any services that are mandated are ultimately covered in the premium, either to the specific group or to the system in general," Carroll said. |

Yeah...A study conducted in 2000 claiming a double digit saving if insurance companies offered free contraception and gowing their profits was overlooked, and 10 year later, obama had to dust off the study and mandate these cost saving solutions. Obama shovels the propaganda and box eats it up and regurgitates it. |
