That is like saying that Auschwitz produced several million units of various goods which was more than the several hundred thousand persons that were killed there.

Really DVOR?

You really compare saving millions of women's lives by early detection and treatment of breast cancer to Auschwitz?
You really consider Planned Parenthood averting  584,000 unwanted pregnancies per year (many of which would
have ended in an abortion) to be similar to Auschwitz?
You really consider that One in five women in the U.S. has visited a Planned Parenthood for health services, is
similar to the death camps at Auschwitz?

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

A human life is a human life -- abortion ends a human life and Planned Parenthood not only supports abortion it provides abortion.   In my opinion and in the opinion of TENS of MILLIONS of other people Catholics, jews, Muslims around the world --- Abortion is a modern-day holocaust.

There are other organizations which fund early detection programs that are NOT providing abortions -- there are other organizations which are involved in treating breast cancer which do NOT provide abortions.

I do NOT apologize nor do I regret refusing to support Planned Parenthood directly or indirectly -- and while the Komen Foundation has done much good and I have given to it in the past  .. I can not and will not support it in the future.

Cafeteria Catholic

You WILL support taking from the poor to give to the rich

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Catholics are a hypocritical group of worshipers...
Their faith demands they don't use birth control... (they do)
That they not have an abortion... (they do at about the same rate as protestant women)
That they don't get divorced... (They do)
and that they don't have premarital sex... (they do)

Catholics seem to be more than 'Cafeteria Catholics'... they seem to disagree with the very basic tenants of their faith.

For the first time in decades, OB-GYN's are finally getting on the same playing field with PP. OB-GYN's have the ability to participate in the same State Cancer Screening programs and they are now offering sliding scale fees. I don't understand why you are so against this Box?

Women don't have to go to Planned Parenthood anymore, they are able to walk into many other doctors offices and get the same...even better services, especially if that doctor is in a hospital with an imaging machine (Bellevue comes to mind).

Women now have a CHOICE where to go. PP is facing competition and I don't think they are liking it much.

I would guess that there is nothing that would make Planned Parenthood happier than to get OUT of the breast
cancer exam and mammogram screening business.
PP has much to do with their other services, such as birth control, STD education and prevention, Family planning, and
Sex education programs.
If America comes to a point where there is NO LONGER A NEED for this services by PP... they sure could use those dollars
to put into their other much needed services.

As for now, there is a large group of women with no health care, no access to mammograms and no where to turn
when diagnosed with breast cancer.

I happen to be a REAL Catholic and I will defend my faith .... I liken the extermination of a CHILD in the womb -- to any other form of genocide......  Only a Nattering Nitwit would DEFEND abortion and as it is apparent here -- the EXTREME Right - Wing form the nucleus of the pro-abortion stormtroopers..

That is completely untrue --- once again you are a liar .. who hides behind your username and makes up fantastical lies about others.

Apparently you hold some kind of grudge against Catholicism -- that is your problem.

The FACT is that SOME Catholics disagree with and/or disobey Church teachings -- the same can be said for members of EVERY other faith tradition.    Name one faith tradition that has 100% agreement and 100% compliance with official teachings ?????????????????????

Regardless of whether every Catholic agrees or every Catholic obeys -- ABORTION IS MORALLY WRONG.
