The embryo is more than just a clump of cell .  Life begins at conception and that embryo contains a human life.  I will consistently and continuously defend human life - from conception to natural death.

Destroying a human life by subjecting it to medical testing is as evil as flushing the embryos down a drain.  That is why the practice of in vitro fertilization is considered immoral by the Catholic Church,  

DESTROYING EMBRYOS IS CAUSING THE NEEDLESS DEATHS OF REAL HUMAN BEINGS.

As for human suffering and medical research -- there should always be moral limits on what is acceptable and what is not acceptable.   You seem to be arguing that just because one person is suffering that it is OK to kill another human to relieve the suffering.   Does that mean you support harvesting organs from handicapped people to be put into non-handicapped people?    Or would you have been one of Joseph Mengele's supporters ...  encouraging horrible medical experiments on living Jewish persons in order to find cures for members of the "master race" ?

If they ever admit it is more than a clump of cells then the argument is over so they will never admit it.

The bottom line is that PP does NOT offer mammograms! It is very disappointing to find out that these organizations don't do their homework before they hand out money. This would have never been and issue if Komen did it's homework from 'day one'!!

This is why folks need to stop giving their money to these 'organizations', do their own homework and just donate directly to the cause of their choice or families that have been impacted.

One report on television claimed that donations were up for both groups -- but I am a bit skeptical because the events unfolded over the course of only several days.   We will probably have to wait and see what the long term impact - if any - is on their fundraising.  

I even wonder if it wasn't just a well-planned "crisis" to get a lot of free advertising for both of the organizations.

These embryonic cells are donated and fertilized for the purpose of giving babies to those with reproductive problems.
The excess are 'flushed', instead of used to cure... the only real chance of finding a cure is thrown out with the trash,

The Komen foundation gave to PP because PP was a low cost, effective delivery system of services for breast cancer
screening for women.

Kimen had no issue with PP until (this election year) Conservatives needed to "firm up the base" with an anti abortion
agenda.  Komen happened to pay the price for that agenda.

This issue was never about Breast Cancer, and always about abortion.
