The Gazette editorial gave Pataki the credit for the dt "renaissance" today. How does that square with Liar Ron's account?

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The reports seem to suggest that MORE state workers (up to 450) will actually be housed in the DOT building than the roughly 200 that are there now.   If this is true this will actually be a tremendous win for Downtown Schenectady.

Oh -- and by the way -- many of the DOT workers are NOT happy to be leaving Downtown Schenectady for Wolf Road ...  WHY ?       BECAUSE THEY ENJOY WORKING THERE and are NOT crazy about working on Wolf Road.

Finally,  It is a waster of time debating the issue of Downtown Schenectady's OBVIOUS and TANGIBLE improvements with a bunch of nayboobs.   The nayboobs will just continue to deny the TRUTH even though it is slapping them across the face.

Downtown Schenectady IS undeniably improving -- it has made great improvements as compared to 10 or even 20 years ago.   No amount of crying, lying or just insane twerping by the nayboobs will change the TRUTH.

Oh?

DV,  list for usd the reasons that they are allegedly not crazy about working on Wolf Rd??????

And you say "many."    Tell us HOW many and tell us just how you claim to those this ?????

And tell us DV, how many of those DOT workers just love Schenectady so much that they are buying homes in the city??????     Since they have been here for 9 years, list for us which one of the highest paid, the heads of various units, have bought houses in the city.

Come on DV, provide proof of your comments.   Provide documentation of how much they ALLEGEDLY love the city.

Of course you won't, because it's just LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES!!!!!!

The ONLY thought I can understand that someone who might west of Schenectady, e.g., Amsterdam or something may like that it's a FEW less miles to work if they work in Schenectady,  But someone who lives in Troy is going to be absolutely THRILLED to be moving to Wolf Rd because it is much closer.

Even the State is fleeing Pit Bull City. What will DOT miss about Downtown the most? The murder site a block away? The nonexistent retail? The pit bulls/aggressive street people/Fat Morris' overpriced burnt coffee? The DOT employees can't wait to get back to Albany County where they all live. The State will force march some already stuck at the decrepit County Building further down State. BTW, do not rush to judgement on the first murder of the year in the Capital Region. We must wait like on the flying body at the demolition site on McClellan {still an unsold parcel} until we get an all clear for our DEM Czar.

They're still filled with squatters...Just better dressed and a pocket full of taxpayer money...They still don't pay taxes.

Downtown is a David Copperfield illusion.  If you take away the tax subsidies and exemptions, and all you have are millionaire commercial developers flush with taxpayer profits, and a bunch of NEW vacant buildings.

And there is a downtown today??????     A bunch of gin mills and a couple theaters and an overpriced "gym"

Downtown used to be a place you could actually BUY things, you know, as in buying things -- buy clothes, buy coats, buy shoes, buy lingerie, buy jewelry, buy things needed in the home---home decor (drapes, curtains, blinds and shutters, furniture covers, throw pillows, lamp shades, lighting, wall coverings, paint, wall decor), bedding & bath needs (sheets, bedspread, duvets, blankets, pillows, towels, bathmats), kitchen essentials (pots and pans, cooking utensils, casserole dishes, dish towels, gadgets, etc ), dining essentials (linens, dishes and the fine china, stainless and the silver, glasses and the crystal, all the serving sets), entertainment (today would be defined as TV's, computers, DVD players, DVD's, CD's, Ipods and Ipads, computer, electronic games, books), childrens toys, craft stuff (sewing, knitting, fabric, art supplies, hobby needs, etc), carpeting and other floor covering, patio needs, tools and hardware and electrical,  school supplies, holiday decorations, etc.

So Hamburg, tell us what downtown has.   Where are the department stores?    Where are the stores that sell the above list of things people used to buy downtown?

DV aka Hamburg, you always spew obsenities when you are unable to provide any answers that would PROVE downtown had benefitted the city.

WHY?

Why don't you EVER try actually answering the questions instead of the swearing?

There is NO evidence that Downtown is unsafe -- however there IS evidence to the contrary -- and in MY opinion it is one the nicest things about Schenectady County.......
