Those employees at DOT are for sure breathing a big sigh of relief now.

No more worries about whether they are going to be shot or stabbed when they go to work.

They will have oh so very many places to shop, they won't be limited to the head shop products, used junk, and overpriced books

You notice how the cheerleader (for increasing taxes on the homewoners)and all his imaginery friends have avoided commeting.   Hanging his many heads in shame....but he sure signs on to peek

the folks who work in schenectady's dot ARE relieved that they are going to move to wolf rd. They did NOT like schenectady! Like one told us the other day.........'they're movin' on up'!!!

Looks like the METROPLEX/GILLEN should take a lesson from this!!

Let's see how long the LOTTO bldg hangs in there!

the state owns 328 State Street in Schenectady, where the offices are located.

We all know how well the state finds new tenants for the buildings they own ... it's easier to tear it down and sell.  Otherwise, it's a nice building, but without a lucrative taxpayer handout for the parking garage places they'll need to provide, they'll never get another tenant in that building.

Wonder when the Lottery is gonna pull out and move to Albany

No, the state doesn't own 328 State St.

Broadway & State LLC does.

I think the TU person must have misquoted the ownership.   Because the story continues with this will save the $1.4  "in rent..."

.

Also, if it was owned by the state, it would be tax exempt.   I mean, think of Albany, the state buildings are all tax exempt.

If you look at the official records, 328 State St currently has a PARTIAL tax exemption from 2003 through 2012.   This PARTIAL exemption was done by the republicans, that's why it's not PERMANENT - the dems give out permanent tax exemptions.

It if was owned by the state, it would not be taxable at all.

Bravo MC! Breaking this story before anyone. A total slap in the face for Death Ray and the Metrograft cheerleaders. "Behind all the spin you find a public employee" Paul V. Now Gov Cuomo disband Metrograft and all the useless IDA's.

My wife is yelled up to me, she said Paul is talking about this among other topics.  She said someone called and told him about the song and the caller was going to send it to him

Shucks, meetings when I get to work, can't listen.  She'll let me know

Gotta run, talk to you later

Paul V is all over this horrible loss of 240 high paying jobs Downtown. The entire Metrograft house has imploded. Lied in response to the Comptroller and ABO audits and now the loss of the one major new employer Downtown-the State. Gov Cuomo sees through the lies. Too bad more more "leaders" can't.

Another day in renaissanceville. I expect that the space will be filled very quickly with one of the major businesses that is seeking to open in Downtown. Yep.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
