If that is your proposal - then I suggest that you go to the next Town Board meeting and make the suggestion during the public comment privilege of the floor.
Granted -- you would still have to wait for the minutes to be approved at the next meeting of the full board or commission BEFORE it could be posted online or anywhere else.
IF you sign up before the meeting so you can be tracked and come under their scrutiny and research dogs before you speak |

Why should a resident need to physically go to Town Hall to review the minutes of a meeting. And in some instances, a FOIL request has been necessary to obtain these minutes.
Go to the website of just about any town/city/village in this area and you will find not only the minutes of their Town Board meetings but some also provide minutes of their Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, etc. Glenville, Princetown, Clifton Park, Colonie, Guilderland, Altamont --- they all post the minutes of the meetings. Rotterdam really needs to get with the times. |

Personally, I have never had a problem (and this goes back over the past 10 to 15years) getting copies of the minutes of any public meeting that I was interested in reviewing. (as for the raging lunatic GB's comments .. I will flush them down the toilet where the crap, which describes 98% of his posts. belongs) |

Listen Roberts' Rules....they should be in place....i also think that when a Board membrs asks a question that answer should be forthcoming especially when it's stated he has no idea about the resolution of whom the person is that is being appointed.
Isn't that what the TB and audience complained about??? there was no transparency...all kinds of accusations....
Looks like it has already started from the TOP...

it's not about the getting up with the times....it's about how they govern.....minutes are public info....
there should be no need to have to go to TH and get them or foil and pay for them...
The secret is that the minutes are not "per say".....there is a spin on what everyone says....
take it from someone that knows....
it's all about what the REGIME can achieve without the public knowing.....
Just look at the growth of business in Rotterdam....compared to other towns, counties.....NOTTA

Minutes are public documents and these public documents ARE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC at town hall -- have ALWAYS been available to the public at town hall.
You folks are "creating an issue" where no issue exists. This is par for the course. You folks invent problems where non exist. You folks endlessly complain and try to tear down our community.
If you really weren't just a bunch of cowards hiding behind screen names, you'd just go down to town hall and request copies of the minutes ... and would stand up at town board meetings and offer POSITIVE SUGGESTIONS like the ones for using our town's website more effectively.

Do not dare criticize your masters. If you criticize you are "tearing down" your community. That is unless the town is controlled by a republican majority, then any move they make MUST BE DEMAGOGUED. If republicans want a police commission to get a handle on the largest percentage of the budget - YOU ARE TEARING DOWN THE COMMUNITY. Please DV,, save it. When the Conservacrats were on the outside looking in, they were the biggest bunch of "negative nayboo" cry babies. We had union police intimidating residents at Town Board meeting with Sheriff sh*t-Bag-Astino flipping off the Town Board members. Larned was blocking traffic with dump trucks at the senior center when the residents opposed a super Walmart in the middle of Rotterdam. This message board is mild in comparison to the reaction of Democrats when the Republicans had control of the TB. Democrats and Copservatives actually INTIMIDATED THE RESIDENTS. This message board is just an exchange of ideas and opinion. I know you guys in your party are used to destroying people personally and physical intimidation. Just like Tony J. and his threats. |

What is "in store" for town residents is PROFESSIONAL and EFFECTIVE government for at least the next 2 years. If you had the strength of your convictions, you'd stand up and speak at Town Board meetings --- since you apparently don't .. then you have no one to blame but yourself. As for me, I have always stood up for the public and will continue to do so in the future. I am not a stranger to being on the receiving edge of threats and intimidation ---- evidenced by the numerous threats that you folks have posted in this venue. -- but guess what the threats and insults just strengthen my resolve to work harder in pursuit of my vision for the town that I love. |

There is no reason to go out and find the minutes or pay for them....
they should be on the internet and ready for residents before the next meeting....
go fly a kite DVOR....you could see the whole picture from above....
and the kudos you give yourself is outrageous....you sound just like the rest of the REGIME....taken over and think of personal
agendas.....what goes around comes around.....just a matter of time....

You yawn all you want......it will end.....and the minutes should not have to be held either by picking them up, Foil and pay
or waiting until the next meeting....it will be old news....
BTW..
HEARD IN THE DONUT SHOP
wHEN WILL THE VIDEO BE AVAILABLE......AND WHO WAS THE RESIDENT THAT SPOKE UP TO HB AND LET HIM KNOW
THAT THIS CANNOT BE RUN BY SHERIFF'S RULES.....
would like to read and hear the whole and true statement from the resident to the REGIME leader
nothing in the paper....nothing nowhere......seems very secretive....and not transparent as the resident stated.
