Or a bunch of concerned parents questioning why a 12 year old needs to put a condom on a banana.

Or a bunch of concerned parents who would never had been taken seriously if the church hadn't backed them up.

Again...The natrual reaction of the fascist is - the states information is "important", and the parents are zealots.  The kids are in danger from their parents values because it runs counter to the states values.  The individual family unit must be broken and humiliated into accepting the states values.  If you do not accept Planned Parenthoods teachings, YOU ARE A ZEALOT!!!

I would prefer that they teach ALL sex ed. Since some sex ed is good, then an all day study of sex ed, anti-bullying and social justice would be better. Don't waste time on the three Rs. Let the Chinese rule the world. Screw the future.

Who decides what is important information for my children?  OH YEAH, THE STATE!!!  Speaking of zealots, how about those zealots at Planned Parenthood trying to push their fanatical worship of sex onto every young boy and girl in America that cannot afford a private education. Talk about fanatical.  I wonder if the Obama children get Planned Parenthood teaching them in their school?  Imagine if the Catholic Church was allowed to go into public schools and push their teachings about sexual reproduction onto every child in that school?  Box would be going APE sh*t.

It's not difficult...

If you want a Catholic education about sex, then go to a Catholic school.
  If you have kids at Shen and don't want PP to teach them about sex, then opt out of the class.  

So easy a caveman (or even Cicero) can do it!

No, No, No, in my hypothetical, the Catholic Sex Ed is voluntary - just like PP.   It's not difficult...I’m sure NOW you see no problem with that scenario. How about they BOTH offer their Sex Ed in public school?  You know, you can offer CHOICE in sex ed teaching.  You like choice don’t you?

If you want Planned Parenthood teaching your kids then bring them to a Planned Parenthood location.  Don't bring them into public schools.  Their interest in child sex is a little disturbing.

The press is doing a great job of misinformation... If you listen to them, Planned Parenthood is teaching the sex-ed program at Shen, which means when they were booted out, the sex-ed program went with them.
That is NOT the truth. PP is a recurring guest speaker/instructor, that is all. They cannot by NYS education law teach a sex-ed class BY THEMSELVES unless they have NYS certified teachers doing it.
What superintendent Robinson did is not unlike what happens to a police officer when they are accused of misconduct, they are put on leave. Robinson took the the concerns of several parents and put PP in limbo until the concerns are investigated. My guess is the district and PP will negotiate changes in their presentation and PP will be allowed back in.

The truth of the matter is..............most of the entire school district is disturbed.........including some of the kids!! My question to the school would be.....how long has PP been promoting 'sexual techniques' to 8th graders? It is the school's responsibility to notify the parents of the kids in that district. Did they?

Or did the school district just bring PP on board without checking their curriculum?

Planned Parenthood educators had for two decades discussed abstinence, sexually transmitted diseases, teen pregnancy
and other topics with district middle and high schoolers as part of its health education curriculum. But the district told
Planned Parenthood in October to stop sending the guest speakers after it received complaints about the lesson plan
from a couple of dozen parents.

For 20 years PP provided a needed service to Shen students.  Thanks to the extremist views of a few, all kids are deprived
from the information PP provides.

Hopefully the school district will realize it's mistake and again invite PP to the school in the fall.

PP I'm sure will be back in some form maybe sooner that this fall. But honestly, are they unique in being able to teach about sexually transmitted diseases and teen pregnancy? It's not rocket science, and I'm sure the NYS certified teacher responsible for the curriculum would be able to do it just as well.
I'd much rather have guest speakers come in and discuss the AFTERMATH of teen pregnancy and not protecting yourself against sexually transmitted diseases. Nothing works better than learning from a peer.
