Ellis, Littauer receive $100K grants from state
Gazette Reporter

Ellis Medicine and Nathan Littauer Hospital Association have been awarded two-year grants worth $100,000 each from the state Department of Health.
The two awards are part of fi ve given out by the department to support physicians who practice in underserved communities as part of the state’s Doctors Across New York program.
“The Doctors Across New York Program is a critical program to help ensure that New Yorkers in every community in the State have access to high quality health care services,” state Department of Health Commissioner Nirav Shah said in a press release. “These grants will help these institutions increase access to vital health care services in rural and urban areas.”
The grant for Ellis Medicine goes toward their family medicine practice in Schenectady, and the Nathan Littauer grant is for urology in Gloversville.
Donna Evans, a spokeswoman for Ellis Medicine, said the award demonstrated the state’s confi dence in their family residency program and primary care program.
“Awards like this help us recruit and retain the best and brightest physicians,” Evans said. “At a time when fewer students are choosing Primary Care/Family Practice, residency programs like ours are invaluable in meeting the growing health care needs of our communities.” ..................>>>>....................>>>>...................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01204&AppName=1

because in America only a specialist will do.....no wonder we went off the cost cliff.....then all the little people run around complaining about going to doctor here and there and none of them knowing what the other is doing.....people are like
dogs at times.....

there is no mystery in medicine....however,,,,IT IS NOT EXACT SCIENCE.....

take care of yourself...it's your life

remember Michael Jackson purchased the specialist that he wanted.....and he got exactly what he was looking for

So true.

Ellis has really impressed me.  However the sheer number of people that seem to get sent to Albany Med for something that doesn't appear life threatening - astonishes me.

Many folks are now opting for Albany Med or St. Peters! Many times it is the decision of the patient or family member that makes that request.

also...........It appears that Ellis is clearly NOT equipped to handle 'the under served' and the 'urban community', since most shootings/pit bull attack victims that are common place for the under served and urban communities...are quickly transported to Albany Med. WASTE OF TAX PAYER'S $$$$$$!!!

FREE MONEY COMING TO SCHENECTADY!!!!!!!!!
YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There may be certain costs for this project, you know, like the taxes that need to be paid to hand to another organization that didn't actually earn it in Schenectady, but hey, what's new??
And yes, I realize that certain lefties are going to criticize me for the fact that we are finally getting back some of our money from the state,
but I would rather they didn't take it in the first place, and let us decide how to spend it.
Weird idea, huh?

Wait until they open him up again and they find the Twinkie wrapper they left in him on the previous surgery.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

I thought it was a full twinkie....you know they never get stale....we tried that experiment once....cracked open the wrapper and for 6 months it stayed squishy....then we lost interest....
