The recovery room didn't help, but Dunzie's was struggling even before the Recovery opened. They failed to find a nitch, all the racist white trash go to Marc's, sports fans go to Center Field's, townies go to the Blue Jay Tavern, and young people go to Delorey's.

I agree with BR.  Good assessment.  Their business model seemed a bit haphazard at times.  It was a townie bar late afternoon, a sit down restaurant evenings, sports bar Sunday's and a dance club late night weekends

The food was always good. Sad to see any business close.

I thought we heard on here from some of the people that they were just doing fine, and that the owner just didn't want to stay in the business anymore. Now, we're being told there wasn't enough business to handle it?  Wasn't the For Sale sign up before the Recovery opened?

This was predicted here before the horrible Recovery Room opened. This area can support just so many tappies. Ditto Downtown. The pie can be cut in so many slices. That's why all the new job projections were more fertilizer from Death Ray his RIDA stooges.

Great food-great people. Another sign of County renaissance? Build up a business and can't sell it.

victim may be too strong a word, but maybe not in our era of government mandated behaviour.
If I had a product or service with many loyal customers
and lost them to some one else.
Either they were not loyal customers
or the other guys product was more desirable to what i had to offer.
how does that make me a victim?

They were a victim if the tax dollars they actually paid into federal, state and local government were taken from them and subsequently handed over to a rich and well-connected developer to build a bigger, more exciting "new" operation. And that is exactly what happens here in Schenectady County. I predicted that the tax dollars Dunzy's not only paid but collected for the local Government (Metroplex and Schenectady County) would be used to put Dunzy's our of business. And although they may not know it, their political backing of these democraps that run things around here like some sort of banana republic-  was wielded against them.

That my friends is crony capitalism.
