Albany dismantling Occupy site
Protesters forming chain around remaining tents

ALBANY — Workers from the city's Department of General Services on Thursday afternoon dismantled the Occupy Albany tent site in Academy Park. They were accompanied by about 10 police officers.
Members of the Occupy movement formed a chain surrounding the large information tents along the Washington Avenue side of the park in front of City Hall. Doesnt really matter. The Occupyers aren'' organized. They picked the right word for what they are doing, Occupying. If they werent occupying that land they would be occupying the couch. They started occupying a few months too late.
Picking the right time is important. The momentum is lost, people are thinking about their families.
The Schenectady Movement revolt, uprising whatever you want to call it will be begining when the people start opening their tax bills and when they get their rent increase due to the tax increase.

You may be right, but I doubt it. I would expect the Occupy Albany group to be around for a long time in many different venues. |
