A total facial for Metrograft and the frauds raping the County taxpayers. Everything is so well run that RIDA {taken over by Metrograft phonies} serves no legal purpose and is over billing for "services". One down six to go. More corruption classics from the horrible State report- Metrograft wastes $2 MILLION to DSIC to minimize the assessments on Downtown businesses. Cost of services have gone up $300,000 but the assessments stays the same because the County taxpayer subsides it. Waste of County wide sales tax to benefit Downtown only. Each IDA pays $24,000 to Metrograft for administrative services-whether they need it or not. State criticizes reshuffling of funds for supposedly "unified" team members.

Here's more from the State's scathing report-All Schenectady County IDA's generated insufficient revenue to meet their operating costs. They incurred a loss in the past 5 years of $350,000! This is termed rebirth. IDA board members are not suppose to receive ANY compensation. Except in Rotterdam. Over $29,000 was improperly paid out to board members. The Attorney General must follow up with forensic accounting. There's more corruption, self dealing and shell gamesmanship to report.

The report is a total indictment of the taxpayer black hole Metrograft, multiple money losing IDA's, that passes for County economic development. Every time these fiscal incompetents get caught they come back with empty responses. Illusions of adequacy. No other County in the Nation would tolerate all these idiots that lose thousands of jobs. All critics have been proven right-once again. A fraud, hiding public information, stacking boards with hacks, shell games, pay to play, that lost jobs. RIDA is history and the State will pursue the other bad actors including the horrible BID's until they are also dissolved.

It is obvious that the nayboobs can't actually comprehend what is written in the report ---  and the ultimate result of this report will be the consolidation from 7 development agencies to 1 development agency.  The problem in the past few years has been the refusal of certain folks to "work together" .. streamlining from 7 to 1 will make it easier for the county to do its job in economic development and continue the RENAISSANCE that began in 2003.

You obviously have not read the report. It states how the unified economic team that you support is not unified, is in many instances illegal and refuses to make public information or have a lawful purpose. Working together is a political buzz work for DEMS only, refusing to follow open government laws and excluding any non DEM from participation. Perfect example in the open City Council seat. DEMS only! No one else need apply.

There is no reason for an authority to exist other than to circumvent the law.  Complete waste.

There is no reason for any of these SEVEN agencies to exist. Except to rip off the County taxpayers and hire useless hacks. Insane system where the County Planner is also head of Metrograft. You can't serve two masters. Replace all these nit wit groups, end all the useless blackhole BIDs/IDAs, and hire one actual County Planner. Not a former DEM town chair masquerading as a economic developer. In the last 5 years these idiots lost thousands of jobs while they took millions of dollars of assessment of the tax rolls. Only a complete politard would term that any success.
