The Administrator should delete ALL of this thread -- as you are advertising businesses which is against the rules of this board.

But if the thread is not erased -- there is no reason to erase Saratoga Sweets and Krause's since they definitely did not receive any Metroplex funding and are very fine businesses.

But personally, I am going to shop at ANY business I choose -- and IMHO a business that has the backing of Metroplex means that it has been vetted by experts in economic development and thus should be supported for that reason.

No one is advertising ANY business here. The purpose is to list those businesses in SCHENECTADY COUNTY that have never received metroplex/taxpayer funding. There are businesses listed here that we have never needed to go to, because we didn't require their services, but are listed here for their 'independence of tax payer money' to survive!

Went in there today and they had what I needed.

Just saying -- in the past -- the administrator has deleted references to businesses that included addresses and websites.  In fact, the whole thread -- which was recommending  LOCAL FARMERS and LOCAL PRODUCERS who either grew or produced food products -- was deleted by the administrator for being "advertising".

I encourage everyone to purchase as much of their food DIRECT from local farmers and local producers.
