It's not a boycott list...Think of it as a list of businesses that residents can willfully give money to by purchasing their goods and services.  These are the businesses that weren't privileged enough to receive taxpayer money, the money that was taken by force from the Schenectady County taxpayer, then given to the privileged few through an unelected authority.  Smokey, you're probably a good lib; think of it as charitable donations to the Schenectady County businesses that have been discriminated against.

Not a boycott list...Even if I don't go to their business, I'm still paying them.  I have $50 Million in debt I have to pay back for them.

And over the years of the pilot, how much in taxes that they would have paid without it are they not paying?  If it's 600K, then guess what, they got a million in the deal.  

TIB, I love this idea, keep up the list, and when I have a chance to go through the Metroplex site again, I will give you a few "this instead of that" scenarios.

The Smoker doesnt read obviously.  The facade grants are fine.  Its the low/NO interest loans, excessive grants, undervalue proerty transfers, eminent domain seizures for private use, stealing of neighboring city jobs and misuse of state and federal dollars that is unacceptable.  

Metroplex and the Administrators of the City may have all good intentions but when the withhold the information and spin it the way they do and leave out key pieces of information from the press or they dont make the information transparent and easily acessable to the public then that tells me there is something fishy going on.  

So open up the books.  Post the info online and stop holding secret meetings or we will stop supporting this fluff job.  This isnt a boycott list it is a promotional list for those who take care of themselves and subsidize everyone else.  

The County is cannabalizing the City tax rolls and benefiting from it.  That is a fact.  It needs to be stopped.  Now those properties that fall in that list need to be boycotted.  More to come on that later.

How much did it cost the taxpayers to re-do Broadway to accommodate Villa Italia? How much has the Villa paid in property taxes so far? I'm sure it's over and above the $400K....yes?
