Had a box delivered to us (came yesterday) with brittle, crunch, chocolates and fruit wedges - what a WONDERFUL present.  Gotta call Uncle Sam's tomorrow and let them know their treats were enjoyed by MANY people here - several hundred miles from where they were created by the experts!

The children just loved their treats from Krause's and Saratoga Sweets.   Everyone loved sharing the Peppermint Pig from Saratoga Sweets and for dessert --- a piece of Lemon Lulu Cake from Mother Myrick's.

I'd like to thank those of you in this forum that have come in to help promote and celebrate local businesses this season.  We truly appreciate each customer that walks through the door and do everything that we can do to make each customer happy.  I know there are certain people that have things against our business, and that's going to happen with any business.  I did, however, want to dispel the lies of one here that says that our owner treats people horribly.  We have and appreciate all customers, no mattertheir party affiliation.  With that being said, I would like to specifically thank former mayor Brian Stratton for stopping in last night to pick up his last minute supplies to get him through today's activities.

If you are who you claim to be, you most certainly did insult my relatives in front of their home when you were campaigning for reelection.   They WERE customers for many years  PRIOR TO that incident -- and they like me .. have NEVER patronized nor not patronized a business due to the party affiliation of the owner.  In fact, I know quite a few Republican business owners very well and patronize their businesses.   Mr. Buhrmaster is an excellent example --- a Republican that we did business with for DECADES .. not just years.

First of all,  I wish you would learn how to read, and or prove what your allegations are.  "If you are who you claim to be..."  Please inform me of who "I claim to be."  I never stated my name.  This is the first post that I have put onto this forum / blog, so whoever you think I might be, I am NOT Mr. Suhrada, but I also didn't CLAIM to be him, either.  I only stated thanks to those that have come in.  I didn't say that this was coming directly from the owner, but I'm sure he would agree with my previous remark.

And of COURSE the first thing you do to new people here who may not agree with you, immediately put them down.  Gee, it must be how you're used to being treated.  And to think you have no clue of my feelings on any subject other than what I have just posted.

Mr. Buhrmaster is the kind of gentleman that you want to do business with and whom you want to have serving in public office.  Another Republican that I remember quite fondly is the late Assemblyman Clark Wemple.  And another Republican that I still like personally is former Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno.

For me,  FRIENDSHIP and PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS are much more important than a party label.  Next to God and Country - the most important personal relationships are one's immediate and extended family .. after that comes friends and personal relationships.   The political affiliation of another person has NEVER influenced me when it comes to friendship and personal relationships -- or even in business relationships.

There are still many good and decent Republicans -- unfortunately many of them have been driven out of office by the "Tea Party/Party of NO type Republicans.  Maybe someday sanity, civility and decency will be restored to American politics.
