Mayor McCarthy earned his pension from his career with the county and he will earn his salary as mayor. I don't see any problem with him receiving what he is LEGALLY entitled to. IMHO -- there is no need to further discuss this topic. |

A couple days ago the Cowardly Liar said I was lying when I said the Bob Farley was "double dipping" and claimed he was only earning money from his work as a lawyer. Now the Cowardly Liar admits that Boob Farley got over $90,000 from 1 position in 2009 ---- this is actually WORSE than I thought because How can Boob Farley be a full-time attorney and still have time to do $90,000 worth of work at the State Senate ???
You actually misterpreted what I wrote, and I wasn't exacly clear enough. I was trying to say that his pay from his private law firm was NOT taxpayer funded. I didn't proofread well enough. But thank you for pointing that out, sort of. And where is YOUR proof that he was getting paid TWO salaries from the state? Huh??????? Where DV???? YOU were saying he was getting TWO salaries from the state at the same time he had a job in the private sector. And anyone with common sense would be able to realize that I mean to say he was not getting paid by the taxpayers from the law firm, but he was from ONE job in the state Here are my exact words
Quoted Text
AND for your info, because you do knoew have the intelligence, the younger Farley was NOT getting paid via taxcpayer dollars while owning a law firm. Public employees may have second jobs in the private sector as long as it doesn't cause a conflict of interest---uh, that's mean doing the private work on the state clock, but rather, in the case of an attorney it would be a conflict to be employed by a firm that has issues with the state. More easily said would be if one is an attorney in the health dept within the area that regulates hospitals, but then also works as an attorney for a firm that specializes in malpractice. But of course, DV wouldn't knoiw about these things.
So DV, let's see your links to offical records to make your fairytales into real facts

Now the Cowardly Liar admits that Boob Farley got over $90,000 from 1 position in 2009 ---- this is actually WORSE than I thought because How can Boob Farley be a full-time attorney and still have time to do $90,000 worth of work at the State Senate ??? The FACT is that Bob Farley was receiving a taxpayer funded salary as a County Legislator and .. WHEN THE GOP WAS IN THE MAJORITY IN THE STATE SENATE .. he was receiving pay from 2 taxpayer funded positions in the State Senate (that was based on information found in his own biographical notes -- so unless Bob Farley was making up stuff 4 or 5 years ok to pad his resume -- I have to go by what he printed in his own literature) ........... and Senator Hugh Farley in his own literature details how he was a professor at SUNY Albany and also held an administrative position -- and he is retired from BOTH now .. BOTH were considered full-time positions when he was employed .. and BOTH are eligible for pensions. So again -- unless Senator Farley lied and padded his resume in the past -- he was a TRIPLE DIPPER for many years BEFORE he retired ... and is still a TRIPLE DIPPER today since he retired from 2 of the 3 taxpayer funded positions.
Oh -- and lest we forget --- Senator Farley spent a total of over $80,000 of taxpayer money to take 2 vacations - one to Disney World and the other to Hawaii. You'd think his son, Boob Farley, would use part of that $90,000 to send his Dad on vacation ... and not let his Dad bend the taxpayers over the barrel like that.
Uh, DV, if you had a brain you would know that it was HIS OWN law firm. He did NOT have to punch a clock every day at his law firm like a routine employee. One can be a full time public sector employee AND own a private business from which they derive income (as long as there is no conflict of interest and the public employee complies with all requirements of the state ethics law. Now about spending tax dollars on a vacation. Well, since one of your two mommies is getting paid by the taxpayers, and getting paid big bucks too, then if she goes on a cruise, then it's the taxpayers who are paying for the cruise and that is wrong. If she buys a car, well, no, public employees musn't buy a car with taxpayer dollars. And of course all taxpayers would oppose her financially supporting you. Yes, this double dipping as we all call it is allowed under the law, unfortunately, But DV: 1. i have provided proof to you about Farley's - the younger gets only ONE salary from a state job, and accvording to the NYS Comptroller's office the elder Farley is NOT getting a pension. Now I trust, since you have made statements otherwise that you have proof of your statements? 2. Is it proper that McC REFUSED to tell taxpayers BEFORE the election that he would double dip? Is that proper of him? Well DV?????? |

There is a need to discuss it. DVR likes to end discussion when he is losing. The Mayor Elect made an idiot of himself lying about Mayor Jennings. Of course he is entitled to his pension when he retires. Being a political pig he took what he could now and then deflected harsh criticism from the TU article by saying "everyone else does it". No they don't. Mayor Jennings is not taking his pension now despite the lies from him. The Mayor Elect was appointed by a NYS Supreme Court judge. His popularity, which was always minimal, has tanked. |

I did not lose the discussion. Bob Farley was receiving pay for 2 positions with the NYS State Senate WHEN THE GOP WAS IN THE MAJORITY -- that was BEFORE 2009. Just because he is only taking pay from 1 position now does NOT nullify the FACT that he received pay from 2 State Senate positions simultaneously IN THE PAST.
Plus Bob Farley received a salary as County Legislator ---- so he was TRIPLE DIPPING at the expense of taxpayers.
State Senator Farley held and was paid for 2 full-time positions with SUNY Albany (one as a professor and the other as an administrator) while simultaneously being paid as a State Senator. That was TRIPLE DIPPING ... and now he is receiving pensions from the 2 SUNY Albany position and still collecting his salary as a State Senator. So he is still TRIPLE DIPPING.
Not to mention the vacations to Disney World and Hawaii that he billed to the taxpayers -- cost $80,000.
All of this is FACTUAL -- and the teaparty/NNTP Know-Nothing Republicans want to sweep it under the rug. |

I do NOT sweep anything under the rug. YOu claim it is factual...... PROVIDE THE PROOF DV.....PROVIDE THE PROOF PROOF PROOF PROOF !!!!!!!!!!!!!Since information of this type IS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC, BY LAW, then you CAN provide the proof,...do DO IT. "Two" pensions (for the elder Farley)????? PROVE IT!!!!!! PROVE IT!!!!!!!!! DV, YOU claim it is "fact" and since facts about taxpayer funded people are, by law, PUBLIC INFORMATION and EASILY accessible, then you need to prove it is fact. DV, why do you REFUSE TO PROVIDE PROOF?????????? (you REFUSE to provide proof of ANYTHING you say....WHY is that???? Perhaps because it is NOT fact, you make up stories, you are a liar, and it is YOU who want to sweep things under the rug) |

McCarthy was caught by both newspapers lying about Mayor Jennings. It's all over the media. No one can stop talking about it. Of course others do it but they don't lie about on the front page. His whole campaign was repeating lies about job creation and progress. Now the veil has been lifted. His few supporters are running to the tall grasses. Anyone who thinks he could be re-elected to any office after this debacle is in the bag. |

When will this mama's boy learn that facts are turths that can be supported with proof. Without proof, they are not facts. Since DV does not provide proof, has NEVER provided any proof, then we all know that the stuff he says is just one lie after another lie after another. Why is it everyone else on thse boards can provide proof of the statements they make, but you, DV, cannot provide any proof? You should become a writer. You would be very very good at writing fairy tales. |

Senator Farley should repay the $80,000 spent for his two vacations - one to Hawaii and the other to Disney World. |

Wow, just a little less than the Farstad Pension Padded Amount. The funny thing is that the Pension Padding is the gift that keeps on giving year after year, the longer he lives the more we as tax payers pay. With the 100% tax payer medical benefits, he should live a very long time. |
