How ironic that Walmart (when Sam Walton was alive) used to push their advertising as selling nothing but American made goods. Greed changes many things!!!!!
Walmart is the first and biggest offender!! Every single manufacturer bows to the demands of the 'largest retailer in the world'. |

Years ago, shoe companies made shoes in various widths -- because while a bunch of people may be a size 10 (for example) some may be a 10 narrow .. some may need a 10 wide .. most shoe companies stopped making the various widths --- and have trained their salespeople to sell that person who needs a size 10 Wide a 10 1/2 .. which is longer but not wider.
If a store will not cater to the ACTUAL needs of its customers, it does NOT deserve to be patronized nor to stay in business. |

It is ignorant comments like yours that give you Nayboobs and this site a bad reputation. Only an ignorant jack a** would make the comment that you made. Having sold shoes for a number of years, I can assure you that there are many skinny people who need a WIDE shoes and many fat people who need NARROW shoes. |

Sorry, let me rephrase my statement. Skinny people may be a size 10 but later get so fat that they eventually need a size 10 wide.......or they need there shoes repaired often due to the splitting seams. |

When shoes were made in America....I wore a solid size 10...no matter where I bought them or what style they were. They were all consistent. Today, however, I can wear anywhere from a 9 to an 11 1/2, depending on what country they were made in and what store I go to!! |

It would be great to have a shoe store downtown -- I would suggest a branch of Delmar Bootery or some other shoe store in the area BEFORE recommending a national chain.
And of course, as long as the property taxes were paid by the homeonwers,. You can only buy shoes if they are subsidized by the taxpayers? |

Why don't you admit that you got caught trying to make another personal attack -- and that since you didn't know anything about shoe sizes and foot sizes -- I made you look like the jack a** that you are. |

Unfortunately, that is very true ---- especially with shoes (same thing with clothing) that are made over seas. |

The Cowardly Liar may have taxpayers buy his-her shoes --- he-she probably is some GOP officeholder extorting thousands of dollars of our money AND stealing paper clips, too. |

Then Bombers, the Hampton Inn, Bombers, etc. etc. shold NOT be in business because they do NOT take care of the NEEDs of the people in the city who cannot afford to cover their tax bills! |

Hampton Inn provides wonderful accommodations for its patrons and Bomber's provides food and beverages(always seems crowded --- so people must like what they are buying there) ------ so once again the Cowardly Liar has been proven to be wrong. |

And WHO pays the taxes??????? Huh? Is it proper for the financially struggling homeonwers to pay the taxes for these rich businesses? Tell how these businesses are helping reduce the taxc burderns on the hoimeonwers. Tell us what effect these businesses have had on property values in the city. Tell us what effect these businesses have had in terms of people buying houses in the city? Tell us what the effect of these businesses have had on the ability to sell a house in the city? Tell us what effect these businesses have had to improving the quality of life and providing necessary services in the NEIGHBORHOODS---the neighborhoods where people live. Tell us DV, when did the city change it's boundaries to be only the few blocks downtown? Huh? When did that happen? |
