The US imports refined oil.

We have plenty of oil produced here in the US.

We don't have the refineries.

All the "not in my back yard" folks drove them out to the lands where the EPA doesn't exist.

We export crude and import refined.

Also remember the one major factor in fuel prices.

Taxes.

Fuel taxes are based on a percentage of the retail selling price of gasoline.

The US government loses billions when gas goes down.

Lastly, Oil Is NOT A Fossil Fuel - It Is Abiotic

Does anyone actually believe that all the dinosaurs traveled to the middle east or the continental shelf to die?

That is dumber than the creation story.

Dead bodies don't decompose into oil.

One idiot started this story in the 18th century and it has become the 2nd biggest urban legend of all time.

The Bible and creation is of course number 1.

Oil is everywhere on Earth.

Stop believing the fear that the oil companies are handing out about limited quantities, because they have the documents to prove it.

They are scamming everyone into believing that oil is scarce to keep the prices and profits high.
