New Price Chopper, luxury apartments, nearing completion in Saratoga Springs
The Business Review by Michael DeMasi, Reporter
Date: Friday, December 2, 2011, 3:10pm EST - Last Modified: Friday, December 2, 2011, 4:31pm EST

Half of the 124 luxury apartments at Sonny Bonacio’s latest project in Saratoga Springs, New York, are rented — six months before they are ready for occupancy and prior to any marketing campaign.
“We definitely struck a nerve,” Bonacio said. “People really enjoy living and walking downtown.”
Bonacio, who has built more condominiums in the city over the past decade than any other developer, partnered with The Galesi Group    in Rotterdam on the $39 million Market Center at Railroad Place.
The complex will have 26,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, including a 19,000-square-foot Price Chopper    — a much smaller store than what is common today for the supermarket chain.
The store will be called Price Chopper Limited......................>>>>.....................>>>>..................http://www.bizjournals.com/albany/news/2011/12/02/new-price-chopper-luxury-apartments.html

Shop Rite would NEVER have to use the term "limited" in their name -- because they have a HUGE selection of the best produce, meats, fresh seafood and other fine products.

Right, and again you diss a business that is owned and ran locally.  But hey, it's probably paying it' full taxes at this location, unlike the corporate headquarters that stole jobs moving, tax free, to their new location, ripping job out of the town that you so love.  You should be singing Price Chopper's praises, since they are the leaders on the failure that is the Metroplex.

OH, you are so clever!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

that would only exist in a flea market....they ALL know who is shopping where and are quite AWARE  of the demgraphics......

they can charge more where food stamps are involved (if in concentrated area) because those folks dont understand the 'value' of money and what you can/can't buy...because they dont have to
budget......

there is no 'rehab' in food stamps/welfare

Let me known when luxury condos will be built in Taxenectady. They had 2 luxury apartments above Apertivo that took years to finally rent out. Every condo project goes belly up because of insane DEM taxes.

Did I mention food stamps???....food stamps is not the issue for me.....I don't have them.....

but buy 1 free 2......buy 1, free 2......doesn't get me anymore......free gas.....ads are so out of date.....

Hannaford , Shop Rite., are cleaner and with less confusion ....items, product everywhere....make sure you see it.....aisles are

not customer friendly....that's my take.....everyone is entitled to what they choose....

Golub had this area tied up for too long   Saratoga perfect spot for all that fluff.

I like Niskayuna Hannaford because it is better lit, shelves not as high, wider aisles, clean, quieter, easier to check out, mostly pleasant young people working the registers (not that I mind older folks), parking lot easy to negotiate. I do shop at Eastern Parkway frequently because I can walk there, butthe store is not well kept, crowded, too much junk in the way (to keep people from running away with groceries, presumably). It is very important to me to have a wide aisle in the front of the store so you don't have to push through the people waiting in line to check out. Nisky Price Chopper has crowding problems in the front of the store also. If you want the bulk of my grocery dollars you can't treat me like cattle.

I agree.

Hannaford in Niskayuna is awesome.

PC on Eastern is a disaster, for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

By the way - the "stuff in the way" is meant to distract people to buy those items...
