well we are all here thank goodness, growing up in the 40's and 50's with little attention paid to pesticides....

it has become a nation that looks the other way...FDA especially.

Buying local supports local producers, and is good for local economies, but has little to do with pesticides or chemicals used

Box, there are MANY local farmers and producers who do not use pesticides or chemicals .... and don't forget that there are such things as "organic chemicals" and "organic pesticides".  The label "certified organic" does NOT mean that the fruit or veggies weren't treated with "organic chemical" or "organic pesticides".

Liquid copper is labeled organic for the control of tomato blight and other fungus that may attack veggies.
