If McCarthy doesn't shape up quick, he WILL be mayor for as long as he wants because no one who isn't on welfare will be living here anymore to challenge him. How long will people pay for a city full of criminals and arrogant civil servants who live out of town and don't supply the services to the taxpayer that their jobs are supposed to be for?
Why does someone who can't recognize a fraudulent budget want to retain a city council seat? What does she get out of it? The council members don't seem to be on the gravy train as much some others - why bother? I understand the motivations of greed, personal glory, or a desire for clean government. Some on the council don't seem to fit any of those scenarios themselves. Do they maybe expect some kind of appointment to some cushy do-nothing position some day? Questions I doubt I will have answers to.

Interesting to see that the demented extreme right wing is encouraging people to come out and vote for Schenectady mayor TOMORROW --------------- they are only a month behind voting ... and about 6 centuries behind in their way of thinking.

I predicted McCarthy would win -- never predicted ANYBODY would win in a landslide.  Personally, I like Joe Kennedy's sage advice about landslides when he said to Jack and Bobby  "I only paid enough for you to win the White House ... so stop spending money (on the campaign) like you were expecting a landslide."
