Then please move there and leave us all alone, and take your WONDERFUL ideas wth you to any one of them, including your dog parks and all of the free things that government can bring to you.
Actually, the dog park was proposed by residents of the town -- not by me -- and there is someone willing to donate the land for the dog park ------ and use of the park would be limited to those who paid a fee to use the park.
I intend to stay here, express my viewpoints and participate in town politics for at least the next 15 years.

As do I, but I have a much more long-range plan, and that includes up to 40 years here, just in case you continue to spew the rhetoric that you do on this site about government doing things for people for free. I already pay a fee to use all the parks... it's called my town taxes.
Also, Mr. Parks and Recreation, can you tell me what the history behind Memorial Park is, and what, or who, is it a memorial to? And will it be renamed, since there are no actual memorials there, but now, thanks to the Town Supervisor that you are disowning, we actually HAVE a memorial, which is located at what is now Town Hall? And what will happen with this memorial once your new cohorts decide to build a new town hall / police station / etc. somewhere else in town? Will this be moved?
Notice, I could ask these questions to you personally, but I would trust you as much with a personal question as I would our Town Clerk Elect, as I feel I can trust each of you about the same amount... not at all.

There is no plan to rename Memorial Park. Town Hall has had a memorial for war veterans for a number of years --- the obelisk. The newer memorial is IN ADDITION TO the previously existing memorial --- BTW that land adjoining town hall is NOT technically park land.
If the town hall is ever moved - I would recommend that both memorials be moved to the new site.
Don't worry, our comprehensive town park plan is a LONG RANGE Plan --- I was just saying that while I may remain in Rotterdam for the rest of my life .. I intend to retire from active participation in politics (town party committee and/or any town offices) by July 1, 2017.
Finally - I never disowned the Town Supervisor as he never was in my will. I don't owe him anything -- and since he chose to take a path that included openly seeking the GOP nomination and planning to "destroy" members of the town Democratic committee because we wouldn't bend to his demands ... I don't regret for a moment choosing to support someone else as our party's nominee for town supervisor.

Can't move to Saratoga Springs because no relative with a basement there.
it's too bad that the only place you feel comfortable living is in a basement ... but I had you pegged for the type who prefers to live in the attic (you know the crazy old bat in the attic type of person)

Wow, ANOTHER HOLY COW house that PROVIDES THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE UNDISPUTABLE TRUTH.....the DEMS of Schenectady have raped the homeonwers.
This is again an EXCELLENT comparison. If you look at the outside, they look very very similar. Look at the photos inside, again, very very similar, the beautiful woodwork, hardwood floors, georgeous stairways, etc.
First here is the summary of the house NOT in Schenectady:
This is comparable to that house IN SCHENECTADY on University Place/Union Ave that was also featured in the Times Union, here is the summary of that one
1077 University Place (as advertised by realtor), but 54 Union Ave per official deed records MLS # 201132017 Style: Victorian Built: 1899 Sq Ft: 3,440 # Bedrooms 5 # Bathrooms 2 Full, 2 Half (City of Schenectady records show 2 full baths and no half baths, so maybe the 2 halfs are illegal, can be a problem) Garage spaces: 2 Oh yeah, the for sale ad states that there is an elevator in need of repair Faull Basement (For sale ad doesn't indicate, but if it is, it's not finished according to city records, I'm sure it has a basement though Lot size: 17,850 Asking Price $ 279,900 Reduced from the $309,000 asked for back in June. Has been for sale for a couple years. Taxes: $11,993
SOOOO, which is a better deal? What have the DEMS done to the city? RAPED and ROBBED the homeowners and CONTINUE TO DO SO by hiking their taxes to be almost the highest in the whole USA......oh yeah, to cover the 100% property tax exemptions for the well-heeled politically connected for-profit businesses downtown
.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
WOW. The cheerleaders for Schenectady, Plex, the dems, and hiking taxes, are, are, TOTALLY SPEECHLESS !!!!!!!!!!!!
The TRUTH really hurts.

And I have to confess that I have seen this home in Lansingburg. It is a beauty for sure. A lot of renovation went into this place.

But look what you get with that $8,000, you get to live in a safe community to raise your kids, a wonderful public school system, beautifully paved roads, a top notch police force, and to top it off a mayor who only cares for the best of his city.................oh wait that's not Schenectady..sorry.

See that. The cheerleader(s) for Schenenctady dems, the Plex and the savage woman STILL cannot respond to this!!!!!!! STILL TOTALLY SPEECHLESS.
And Lansingburg is hardly Saratoga Co either.
And a comparable house, a comparable asking price. But in Schenectady, the dems make the taxes three times higher. Why? So they can exempt the millionaires downtown from paying taxes.
Well DV? What have YOU got to say????? Hamburg? Smoking Bananas?????? And other cheerleaders for the dems wild taxation of Schenectady city homeowners.
The TRUTH HURTS, doesn it !!!!

Saw McCarthy telling Paul Vandenburg that the low price of homes in the City and the high taxes STILL make it affordable for people to live in the City.
Of course, it's sad that in the City it's better for a homeowner to keep their homes looking run down...the assessment will kill them! Only in Schenectady are homeowners better off if their properties look like crap....

Actually - that is one of the biggest problems with property taxes EVERYWHERE -- it has a built in disincentive to improve the property AND it puts an unfair burden on persons or businesses or in rural areas - farms - that have low incomes but more highly valued properties.
That is why I support ENDING the local property tax as the primary source for school funding and using the STATE INCOME TAX to fund 100% of the basic mandatory cost of public education. I also support the state ending its many unfunded state mandates that it places on counties and municipalities -- and funding 100% of these state mandates in the state budget -- if it chooses to place such mandates, the state should fund them -- otherwise it should just eliminate the mandates all together.
