Republican Predental Candidate Newt Gingrich has raised the stakes on the issue of illegal immigration.



Illegal immigrants by coming to America as they did demonstrated a disrespect for American Law.  So do many Americans, some in the House Of Representatives.  Illegal immigration is the bell that cannot be un rung.  Can it be fixed?  The Liberty Bell has a crack, it was strengthened.



One can only hope our illegal immigrant brothers & sisters do not collectively chose to cast aside other American laws.



A correction has to occur.  Millions of illegal's are not going to be deported.  The illegal's are benefiting from citizenship gained through stealth & politics, not in a lawful manner.  Illegal's who came to America as an adult should never be granted full citizenship.  The right to vote should be denied to these people, so the politicians who helped them do not get rewarded at the ballot box.  Illegal minors & children born to the illegal's while in America should be granted full citizenship.  All illegal's not known to authorities for whatever reason must register or face deportation.  A special tax accessed on illegal's would help offset the cost to the tax payer for sustaining illegal's.



Ultimately all Americans, legal & illegal will pay a premium.  I believe that premium will be measured by our traditions & liberties.  Many of these will 'go South'.
