Calls To Help Keep Pouring In.
Community pitching in after a delivery van is stolen.
WGY News
Following the theft of a Meals on Wheels delivery van, offers of help from the community continue to come in. Someone discovered the vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Senior Services of Albany earlier this week. It puts a big hurt on the organization, especially at this time of the year, since about a thousand meals are delivered to Albany County and portions of the Capital Region each day. After numerous calls with offers of cash and food donations and even people volunteering to deliver the meals in their own vehicles, executive director Jane Schramm is very grateful.
