On channel 8 last night: Two 8th grade girls from the Schenectady School District found a woman on Rugby Road on the sidewalk apparently in distress.

These young women flagged down a motorist, who in turn, contacted 911 for an ambulance. Both of these girls stayed and comforted this woman up until she left for the hospital.

Now tell me why Morris gets a Patroon Award and these two girls don't even get a mention by the Mayor???

Maybe if you had some patience and a little common sense -- the incident just happened -- I am sure that the Mayor will recognize the young girls.

Also, if this happened in Albany, Jennings would have been interviewed and would have given praise to these young ladies.

The only person on channel 8 talking well of these girls was the principal of their school.

Maybe channel 8 was hung up on when they called City Hall.

For someone who:
- has no job
- is not self supporting
- is not independent
- does not live like an adult

This story happened Tuesday morning and no word from City Hall all day yesterday.

Listen, this board gets slammed for 'being negative', yet here is a REALLY good story about two decent girls who did the right thing and crickets from City Hall.

If Schenectady wants to become a City where people want to live, these stories need to become front page....not just the shootings.

There are a lot of good stories, of good people who do right and carry the load all day, pay the exorbitant taxes, abide by laws, raise their families with love and discipline and quietly assist and help those in need. What do they get?

Tell us, DV, tell us when the ACTING Mayor is going to honor the homeowners for paying almost the HIGHEST TAXES IN THE WHOLE DANG USA, in exchange for the homeowners incurring a DRASTIC LOSS in the value of their homes, coupled with a substantial loss of some city services along with out and out elimination of other city services --- all in order to bestow tens of millions on the well-heeled politically connected FEW.

Why entitles fat Morris who rakes in millions of taxpayer dollars and refuses to pay taxes, what entitles him to get accolades by the homeowners who have their life savings stolen to give to Morris, why don't those homeowners get accolades?

Spoke to a real DEM leader {not DVR/SG/SB} and he was shocked by the vote Vince put up. He said "Vince didn't do too well last time he ran". Things Done Changed.
