Federal government doesn't tax my production to pay for it.

Nope... Your local Socialist govt taxes you to pay for your local Socialist Library.

NOTE:
DO you think that socialism only exists on the federal level?

Nope there's a socialist local tax to provide local socialist services.

Not a national tax.  Socialism is a NATION philosophy, not local.  If Rotterdam wants social security, they can pay for it.

That's if I CHOOSE to purchase property in a community that levies that tax.  It doesn't tax my production.

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Socialism can be at any level of govt.

Socialism:
a theory or system of social organization  that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of
production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

true...and they work to...but at THEIR OWN EXPENSE....when they become stale they fall apart and when the people decide they want another one is raised....all by themselves...that is what
makes them successful...no politico interference...

America is awash with Socialism, but many Americans, especially the Rabid Right, refuse to recognize it's existence.
There perception of Socialism is always negative and never a positive force.  It really limits their thinking.

socialism is good at small PERSONALLY CHOSEN group levels.....not dictated by the top....why do you think we are in this stupid mess of OWS/Tea Party.....because everyone is fighting over
the socialized "free sh!t".....because we decide to take the road most traveled and easy, accepting of the crumbs left over and stopped ladder climbing, leaving it to 'those who know better' or
'they are more educated' blah blah blah.....beat a dog over and over and eventually it will just sit in the corner taking whatever you toss it......
