Apparently all of the scumbags have come out of the woodwork --- they don't like it if anyone has the nerve to disagree with them.  They think that if they spout insults and make nasty comments that it will deter me.  It won't.  I would spit in their faces and laugh at them -- and continue to voice my opinion and continue to hold to my belief that Schenectady County -- ALL OF IT -- is a great place to live ... and  to get back to the message of the thread ---  one the best places to get a great Italian meal is Petta's on Duane Avenue.

Hell, he still IS.

Petta's is still  the best Italian restaurant in the City of Schenectady -- Congratulations to the Petta family for 60 years of great food, great service and many great memories.

Dolce Vita is a very close second.

This proves you are in the bag. Not even in the top twenty. Petta's has been going downhill for decades. They gave up lunch because no one went anymore. Went to Ferrari's Friday which was jammed as usual. People will go  to a neighborhood in flux if the food is excellent. Try the new Ritz Terrace-old style Italiano with jazz on Van Vranken Ave.

Petta's should actually be shut down as a public service since people are enticed to put themselves in harms way to eat there.
