Ferrarris is more dramatic.  Taxable Value went from $307,000 in 2007 to $165,000 in 2011.  Wow.

First - I am wishing a city business a Happy 60th Anniversary ... I know that the Nayboobs are opposed to any business being successful in the city --- the Nayboobs would rather dwell on the negative.  I will contniue to focus on the positive  -- so either get over it or ignore it.

Second - I don't have to answer questions or respond to ignorant a** holes like MikeChristina or Alias or any other that I choose to ignore.

Third - If you don't like my posts congratulating a local  business or being positive about my community .. than basically you should probably just ignore them ... because as far as I am concerned the whole lot of you Nayboobs can just go F-yourselves and then jump off a cliff.

Why F-Ourselves when someone is already F'ing us.  Only so much room in there.....  I would jump off the cliff near Petta's but the trash on the side of 890 would probably save me from the fall.  Maybe we can find some volunteers to clean it up....you available.

PS.  If you dont like our comments why dont you follow your own advice and "basically you should probably just ignore them"

DV, I was just asking you where on Duane Ave have there been improvements...if any.

There is a difference when one is being positive about an area and another when one lies about the present state of Duane Avenue.

There has been no metroplex or any other money allocated to this area. Property values have sunk, the King School which is K-8 has been on lockdown a number of times (this year a robbery nearby placed the school in danger) and this location is a hell hole...and that's being kind.

If Duane Avenue is in a Renaissance, Michaelangelo is turning over in his grave.

When is Petta's moving Downtown with a taxpayer smear? Petta is lucky he got another free ride and no one reviewed his taxing record on the City Council and Legislature. His performance in the debates was hysterical. Didn't even know GE Solar went to Colorado. In it for one reason-and it ain't helping people.

And Petta's on Duane Avenue is a HUGE part of the Renaissance going on in Schenectady  -- even if there are other problems on Duane Avenue or in that neighborhood.

This is got to be the dumbest comment you ever put up. They must be really hurting. Petta's used to have a decent lunch and they had to even give that up. Duane Ave is a ghost town like State below Erie. Dangerous location-mediocre food. Go to Ferraris on 10th or the new joint Ritz Terrace on Van Vranken Ave.

Where is his wife?  Don't think he was serving her too well.

Petta's is a great restaurant -- and I have never had any problems on Duane Ave -- I admit the neighborhood has its problems .. but Petta's Restaurant IS a positive value to the neighborhood and it IS a part of the larger story of the Renaissance of Schenectady County.

If you folks like other restaurants better -- that is your business -- I haven't voiced any opinions about any of the other restaurants mentioned nor will I .

It is interesting to see how low the Republicans/NNTPers-Teapartiers and Nayboobs will stoop .. attacking a perfectly decent family run business in the city just because they don't like the political affiliation of one of the family members and/or because they don't like the political affiliation of the poster ...
it just goes to prove --- how small minded (and microscopically endowed) the Nayboobs and  Republicans/tea-partiers really are .. and why fewer and fewer people trust them to hold public office in Schenectady County anymore.   I hope you folks all choke on your hate-filled bile.

I have spoken to Mr. Petta in the past, and I have dined at his restaurant.  First, as far as the restaurant, it wasn't exactly what I expected when I walked in, but it was very nice.  I find it difficult to believe that he stays in business if what I saw is normal business for him, as there was only myself and my spouse in the restaurant, along with one other couple.  The meal was very good, but considering the neighborhood, it's not something that we would be going back for very often.

Second, as far as Mr. Petta as a politician, he needs to grow a backbone.  In fact, there is one thing that I could really see him doing, and that would be pulling an Angelo, or would that be an Anti-Angelo, changing political sides.  He goes right along with the party line, when in conversation that I have had with him, he definitely shows that he has a very conservative side.  In fact, in the way he "does business" in the County Legislature, I actually think that he is costing his business more than he knows.  How much competition does he want to bring into the city / county to help do damage to the business that he has?

SB made another appearance.\

Do you have the proof yet---DIRECT FROM GCAR'S website---to prove your claim that values in the county are increasing, as opposed to your copy and paste from a mere newspaper worker
